The Acura NSX was the pinnacle of Japanese motorsport design. Here lies your opportunity to own a true milestone supercar for the ultimate supercar collection. In showroom condition, this is a pure form, original body style NSX. A true exotic with a lightweight aluminum body and styling modeled after the F-16 fighter jet. Concise without being reserved, dramatic without histrionics. 60 mph in 5 seconds. This sports car is extremely fast, aerodynamic, and lightweight. It is exciting, handles well, but not difficult to drive. This NSX is for the extremely serious collector and car enthusiasts alike.
Recently detailed, with an immaculate engine, interior, and exterior, this NSX showcases the most desirable Senna race color combination; flawless Formula Red exterior and clean black leather interior. This chassis has been featured in Sports Car Market Magazine numerous times as an exemplary, rare car that appears as new.
This unmistakable NSX is a hidden gem of an addition to any lucky collector. With under 10K miles, this car has barely been around the block.
Understanding that the current 90's supercar performance market is reaching new heights given the younger generation of investors now getting their feet wet, we expect no slow in growth anytime soon. In addition to the brand new 2017 model which is bringing new hype back to this Japanese Pininfarina-designed NSX that was in a class all its own upon its arrival in 1991.
Full disclosure: Service includes recently replacing the shocks, an alignment, and installing an original gear shift knob. All the hoses, timing belts and tires were replaced. This car is ready for both collection display and the road.
Bottom Line: This car is the only first generation on the market in an untouched condition, worth preserving.
"If you can't afford a jet of your own, the NSX might be the next best thing," Sports Car Marketing.
ABOUT THE NSX
The NSX was designed by a team led by Chief Designer, Masahito Nakano, and Executive Chief Engineer, Shigeru Uehara. It benefitted from advanced aerodynamics and styling inspired by the F-16 fighter jet cockpit and input from the late Formula One World Champion, Ayrton Senna, during the final development stages.
The NSX became the world's first mass-produced car to feature an all-aluminium body. It was powered by an all-aluminium 3.0 L V6 engine, which featured Honda's VTEC (Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control) system developed in the 1980s, a 5-speed manual or 4-speed Sports Shift automatic transmissions.
It was presented at the 1989 Chicago Auto Show and was built in a purpose-made factory in Japan, for sale from 1990. It was originally available as a coup and, from 1995, a targa top. It underwent a performance upgrade in 1997, a facelift in 2002 before being discontinued in 2005. North American models were sold as the Acura NSX.
