Description for Alfa Romeo GTV 1972
The car is completely original except for the paint. Car was originally red when purchased new in England and then imported to Virginia, USA in 1979.Found the car for sale locally and was parked in a dry garage for 10 years.
All parts needing replacement were purchased new from either Alfaholics or Classic Alfa in England, I prefer these parts suppliers as the car is Euro Spec and RHD:
Braking System:
- All new nickel plated brake lines
- Rebuilt all calipers
- New Brake Pads
- New Servos
- New Rotors
Transmission:
- New Clutch Kit
Ignition:
- Electronic Points
- Coil
- Spark Plugs
- Ignition Wires
Fuel System:
- Complete Rebuild and Balanced Carburetors
- Fuel Pump
- Fuel Lines
- Fuel Filter
- Gas Tank
Exhaust System
- Complete from Manifold Back
New Tires
We removed the engine to do the brake lines properly and while the engine was out we cleaned resprayed the engine bay and the undercarriage black.
Parts I would replace next:
- Master Cylinder
- Complete Suspension Package (can get different packages from Alfaholics depending on preference)
- Exhaust Headers
- Carpet Set
The motor has never been rebuilt and pulls very strong. The transmission is perfect and does not grind in any gears. Starts up every time with no problems after replacing the points to electronic. The interior is incredibly original.
Comes with original owners manual for car and stereo. Import Document from England to USA. VIN verification documentation from Alfa Storico (Marco Fazio). Cleared title. Had to repair paperwork as the car was titled a 1969 when brought over to US in 1979 to avoid any regulatory issues when importing the vehicle.
