Description for Alfa Romeo Giulia 1967

1967 Alfa Romeo Giulia Super - Carrozzeria Colli Special Bodied "Promiscua" Station Wagon
Most have never seen a real Alfa Giulia wagon, but yes, this is one of the 16 Genuine real wagons hand made by Coachbuilder Colli for Alfa Romeo in 1967.
In the 1960's with the success of the 1.6 liter Alfa Nord Inline 4 cylinder range of cars - called the "Giulia" - Alfa Romeo commissioned a grand total of 16 cars for special use to be made into station wagons/breaks/estates/kombis and assigned them to their major Factory parts and repair depots at various locations around the world. One stayed at the Main Factory in Arese for use around the town of Milan, three went in Europe to the cities of Rome, Paris and London, three in South Africa, three to Australia for the cities of Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, three in South America to the cities of Montevideo, Rio and Buenos Aires, and three went to North America for use in Newark New Jersey, Ann Arbor Michigan (at the Factory R&D center in that town close to the Motor City of Detroit) and the final one went to the Main Factory Depot on the West Coast of the USA at El Segundo in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.
This the El Segundo car used in greater Los Angeles area.
Of the original 16 cars made very few have survived down the years. The Australian cars are all known to have survived, as has the Rome car. There is no news on any of the South African or South American cars having survived. In the USA the New Jersey and Michigan cars succumbed to rust and died, and the only survivor for North America was this car at auction.
The real Colli-bodied Giulia Super wagons were never sold to the public initially, they were strictly Factory use vehicles. This car was used by the Factory from 1967 to 1982, when it was sold off the Dealer Lot at Beverly Hills Alfa here in the USA.
It has never been hit, never been in an accident, and has no rust.
It was fully and completely restored in 2012 in a true ground up restoration - where every nut and bolt was removed - when the car was put on a rotisserie, striped, examined (at which time no rust or accident damage was found anywhere on it), then was painted the Factory correct original AR103 "Avorio" (Ivory) color and then meticulously re-assembled. At that time the original engine was rebuilt as was the transmission and the differential, as well as every other mechanical component on the car - including but not limited to brake lines and components, fuel lines and components, electrical wiring harness, interior and so on and so on. Only genuine Factory New Old Stock (NOS) and Original equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts were used in the restoration of this car.
This car needs NOTHING, and can be driven ANYWHERE with peace of mind. Immediately after restoration it was driven on a grand tour of the USA west coast to the National Alfa Romeo Convention - where it won the "People's Choice" award.
This car would be the ultimate Alfa collectors dream Giulia, to be used as a fun car around town or as the ultimate Alfa Romeo Vintage Race Team support vehicle.
It is the finest example left in the world.
