Description for Alfa Romeo Giulia 1965
1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT 2.0ltrWhat an excellently fun car to drive. It is truly the Jekyl and Hyde sport coupes. If you are out on a Sunday drive it is so well mannered with a firm but not harsh ride from the Alfaholics suspension. The shifting is effortlessly no matter if its up through the gears or down through the gears for the up coming curves in the road. With the 2.0ltr engine and the Alfaholics alloy flywheel and clutch kit it is eager to gather RPM's in 5th gear with just a little encouragement from the gas pedal. There is no need to downshift to pass on back country roads or to stay with the flow of traffic. The Dunlop disc brakes (yes it still has the Dunlop brakes) work very well on those Sunday drives and on those occasions when you decide its time to kick this little red coupe and see what she will do. Now this little red coupe comes to life and is more than happy to express its Hyde personality and exactly what makes this an Alfa and the expectations one would expect from a little red coupe wearing the Alfa emblem. Now the 2.0ltr pulls very hard and with the Alfaholics flywheel and clutch kit revs so fast its like riding a super bike! The Alfaholics suspension now also shows you its true calling. The Alfa corners very flat with the downshifting in to the corner being effortless and crisp as well as up trough the gears exiting. The Dunlop Brakes are very adequate and perform very well even under conditions of pushing the little red coupe. The wheels and tires are 15x7 alloy wheels wearing 195/55r15 BF Goodrich G Force Sport Comp 2 tires that are very well suited for those days when you decide to kick it and play on the Hyde side for awhile. The Complete driveline has also been rebuilt with new flex disc, u joint and carrier bearing. The rear end was flushed, inspected and resealed before being re filled with Schaffer's gear oil. The 5 speed gear box was also given the same treatment before being re installed. The 2.0ltr engine is in great shape with performance cams, Dual Webber 40mm side draft carbs, factory exhaust manifold and a free flow exhaust. The valve cover intake manifold and exhaust manifold along with the oil pump and pan are original to the 1600cc engine that also comes with the purchase. The ignition is electronic as well as the fuel pump and the cooling fan are electric and from Centerline. The brakes are like mentioned before, the original Dunlop power assist 4 wheel disc with a new brake booster and they work very well. The Body is rust free with plenty of documentation of all work done before the Rosso red was sprayed. All new body weather stripping and seals were installed during reassembly process. The glass along with all trim is in great shape as well as being all original to the best of my knowledge. The interior is in very good shape and include the addition of a pair of 3" Bell lap belts. This is a well proven Alfa that was gone through and put back on the road 4 years ago now and is driven almost daily during the summer months and has given me no problems at all. It comes with all the original factory parts like the front one piece bumper, the original 1600cc engine that's rebuildable, the original cross over intake syste, original suspension parts, all documentation as well as all receipts for all parts and work done. I am the second owner of this little red coupe and will also provide the factory certificate of originality with the purchase.
