As the collector car market keeps moving into the stratosphere. there are fewer cars mere mortals can afford. The Alfa 2000 GTV is one of the few cool cars that is still affordable. The GTVs are attractive and exceptionally well built. The mechanicals are sporty. stout enough to put up with hard use. and not too hard on the pocketbook to maintain. The GTVs make wonderful sounds and cruise effortlessly at highway speeds. Climb behind the wheel and you’ll find the car to be quite roomy. Our GTV is a 1974. the last year for US cars. It has been meticulously restored from the tub out by exotic car professionals. The detail work exceeds all expectations. Turn the key and the engine immediately comes to life and idles smoothly. GTVs are quite fun to drive. You’ll find the engine to be very responsive and the transmission is a delight to shift. It’s the kind of car that makes you drive past your house to put in a few more miles before you have to get out. This is truly a special example. The former owner is a collector with an impressive collection of vintage exotics. He drove a 2000 GTV when he was in college and wanted a nice example for his collection. Unable to find a car nice enough to collect. he decided to restore one. This car started as a rust free. sound example. It was stripped to the tub and rotisserie restored to perfection. No detail was too small to attend to. The body was prepared and painted by a south Florida Ferrari paint guru. The interior soft parts and trim are new and fit perfectly. The suspension was completely rebushed and fit with new Koni shock absorbers. The bright work was replated or replaced and sparkles. The engine and engine compartment have been detailed to better than new condition. Even the trunk has new top quality carpet and is perfectly restored. It would be difficult to overstate the quality of restoration this car has received. Mechanically the car is in excellent condition. It starts effortlessly and drives correctly. The motor. clutch. gearbox. and related components are in perfect operating condition. The tires are new. All the small details have been attended to. Even the fuel sending unit is new. We've driven the car and can confirm that it drives as nice as it looks. As a new car. this car was fitted with dealer installed air conditioning. The dash unit remains in the car however the under hood components have been removed. It should not be difficult to make the unit operational if desired. This car is only a fraction more expensive than a hobbyist restored example and infinitely better. We doubt that you can find a nicer example.
