Description for Alfa Romeo Spider 1984
I am (I think) the third owner of this sleek little car but it has been driven very little for its age less than 35000 miles. I have stored it and have driven it off and on the former owner (in North Carolina) I believe maybe drove it some 5000-6000+/- miles and the owners before than 27000+/- miles. I have wanted one of these since 1972 but never permitted myself to buy one since other obligations were before anything else for a long long time. The passing away of my first husband was the decision to permit myself this car. Driving it for the first time with the top downgave me such a thrill that I laughed straight from my insides and hadn't laughed like that for years since my husband got sick. I am not in that place any longer and now live where the longest highway thatI drive is full of deer therefore dangerous for the car for me in the car (you get the picture.) It drives well I just got it tuned up and oil changed brake pads spark plugs and wires etc. It has new tires because the ones that came with it when I bought it had cracked tire walls even though the tread was like-new. The interior carpet and all else is original the leather seats have some cracking in the leather the speakers may not be original (Sony) but I don't know. There is one small round hole in the gear shift (leather-like) bottom cover some small paint chips on the body here and there but for the most part this car is in good condition particularly thinking of its age. It tends to run somewhat hot on a hot day (210) but it hasn't ever boiled over so I don't know if it is a faulty thermostat or if it actually runs hot on a hot day. The horn doesn't work. These are the only issues I can think of. It has been well maintained as far as I know. I have the first owner's maintenance schedule and some of the invoices from my own.I do not know what the second owner did or did not do. This is a little beauty and hope that it finds its way to a home where someone will drive it and learn everything about it-show it off :) Thanks for your interest. I think I can get a car fax if you want.
