Description for AMC Other 1969
Up for bid is a very nice 1969 AMC Ambassador. I have recently acquired another project car and need the space. This one needs to go to a good home. I will try to be as descriptive as possible and feel free to message any additional questions.
Thanks for looking
The good:
Car starts, uns, rives all excellent. I have driven it quite a bit and it rides and handles wonderfully.
NO RUST, his is a western car originally from Sacramento, hen was in Denver for several yearsand then to me. cleanest underneath I have ever seen
343 runs great and strong. Starts right up, uns smooth, o funny noises, o misses, o leaks.
Transmission shifts smooth
I recently replaced all the brake system. Master, ll wheel cylinders, ll new shoes
New Battery, ires good, all lights work,no cracked glass, indows roll up and down, wipers, turn signals, ll work asthey should
Comes with original owners manual and window sticker (it was $4,202.00 when new)
Door panels, eadliner all good. Front and rear seats are new and were redone in NOS material and done very well.
The Not as good:
Car has one small leak from the shift shaft seal on the transmission. It will leak a puddle about two inches in diameter after sitting for about a month. Nothing else leaks at all.
Car was originally a dark brown and is still that color in the trunk and under hood areas.
Paint looks OK, ut whoever taped it was not too skilled at taping. Around trim and such there are places you can see the lines where the tape was or wasn't, aint looks ok otherwise
Some idiot in this cars past cut a hole in the dash area to put in another radio, o there is a hole, ee pic. I had always thought about putting a piece of wood grain type material over it maybe.
There are some cracks in the dash, ould be repaired. Its not coming apart or anything like that.
I'm not a body man but I think the front drivers fender has been either replaced or repaired at some point, his may be why it has a salvage title but I'm not sure how things work in California.
Some of the wood grain vinyl sticker stuff on the drivers side door is pealing off, retty easy fix, was going to replace with black but thought I would let new owner decide what they like best.
The AC is all there and hooked up but the compressor makes a knocking noise when it runs, o I unhooked the wire so it wouldn't come on. Heat and fan work fine.
The title I have is the California Salvage title, t is signed. I never titled it in my name as this varies from state to state on cars this old. I can give you this title for you to transfer and also give youa bill of sale which some states require. I do not know why this car has a salvage title as its in better shape than many new cars, was told here in TN that all I had to do is take pictures of all 4 sides of the car in order to get a new title issued but here it was no problem getting it registered and getting tags here.
This will really make someone a nice car, ou can drive it anywhere and take it to all the car shows. It rides as smooth as silk on the hwy and is a very well built car. I have enjoyed it and hope the new owner likes it as much as I have. Like I said earlier I just need the space for a new project.
This car is also for sale locally. Shipping or delivery is buyers responsibility.

On Jul-17-15 at 09:37:56 PDT, eller added the following information:Had a question about the mileage - I cannot confirm that the number shown on the odometer is accurate or not. However I have been driving and restoring AMC cars for over 30 years andbased on condition of engine, uspension parts, ushings and other wearable parts I feel very confident this is accurate as everything looks awesome to be nearly 50 years old, lmost amazingly so.
Please feel free to message me for any additional pictures ofparticular areas of the car, hanks
