Description for AMC Javelin 1968
If only cars could talk, e would love to hear the story that this, irst year, MC Javelin SST would tell. This car came off Universals Backlot a few years ago and over the last few years a lot of time and money have been put into this car with just the remaining cosmetics to be tidied up. Although, e keep thinking with its 70's inspired metal flake, hat has been on it for most of its life, ay jog someones memory as to the history of this car. It was obviously bought to be used in some sort of television show or movie. This car screams "Corvette Summer" or "Aloha Bobby and Rose" when customizing cars were all the craze. I have always been a fan of cars with flares and this car is like driving a 70s time capsule with enough rumble under the hood to get you in trouble!
Once purchased by a picture car builder from Universal Studios he proceeded to make it into a road worth hot rod. It has serious rumble and serious power with a 383 stroker motor under the hood. This AMC actually gets more attention then most muscle cars out there. It's partially for its rebel look and partially because you don't see AMC's rumbling down the road much anymore. If you are looking for a road worthy beast to cruise to your local car meets or burn out contests....this ride is well built and will not disappoint. Please look underneath and at the engine compartment components...basically look at all the photos to comprehend this build.

This first year AMC Javelin really is a car of many firsts with fiberglass safety padded and flush mount style integrated door handles. This example started life as an upgraded SST model and at some point was customized and then sat on the studio warehouse for many many years. A piece of untold history.
Don't let the vintage patina paint fool you to what is underneath and under the hood. You can clearly see what a nice body this car has and you can decide to freshen the paint or leave her as she is..... an attention grabbing story to tell.
