Description for AMC Pacer 1979

It may not be back to the future, but it IS like going back in time! For sale AT NO RESERVE WHATSOEVER is my 1979 AMC Pacer Wagon. Not many of these left around and very few in this condition. Lightly driven and not in snow or on salty roads, this Pacer has a low 69,950 miles on the odometer. The title (same titled owner since 2006,) states miles are exempt but one look at the interior, seats, wear patterns on pedals, etc. you'll know these miles are original. Hand crank windows and A/C car. A/C does not blow cold. Car is a 258 6 Cyl but has plenty of pep for the size motor that it is. It was never meant to be a flame thrower(!)I had it out today and drove it around a bit. Runs smooth with no clicks, clunks, thunks, etc. No misses in engine. Interior is obviously a lifelong nonsmoker. No burn marks on seats, no ashes in ash tray, no burn marks on cigarette lighter (now known as a 12V Power Port(!) Automatic transmission shifts well, shifter is on the column. Back seat folds down for storage etc. Back hatch opens easily. Tires are very good, lots of tread. Car drives straight and stops straight. Car has tilt steering wheel and cruise but I cannot verify if cruise is operational.
The car has its share of dings. The worst is shown in pics. The car was on my trailer and it rolled forward about 8 feet into one of the trailer cross braces. It took out the grill, headlight buckets, turn signal lenses and tweaked the hood and fender. UGH! I have been kicking myself ever since. Also (see pics) a few dings at the lower right rear quarter near the corner, a ding or two. Car could use a good vacuuming. No Rust. Car was kept in a carport (not a garage) and shows fading of paint and interior in odd places as the sun shone on the car at different angles through the years. Car has a clean Missouri title, signed and ready to go to new owner. This is a NO RESERVE auction. High bidder gets the car. There is no Buy It Now.If you would like pics of specific areas, talk about the car, do a facetime walk around (iPhone users only) etc. just give me a call. 270-872-7507. I am on Eastern time.
I can help ship this car (I will use chain tie downs this time!!) up to 500 miles for a fee. Any further and we will need to discuss options. Please note the terms of the sale, i.e. deposit and final payment. etc. Thanks!
