Description for Audi 100 19890000

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.

Up for a NO RESERVE auction is quite an unusual find. I've managed to come across an all original, ow mile 1989 Audi 100 sedan with the desirable 5 speed manual transmission. I would rate the exterior of this car ot be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, he looks pretty good for a 26 year old car. As I stated, his car is all original. She has the correct patina for her age. The paint shows some fading from age and there are scratches throughout the paint, hich is common. These are hard to see in the photos but visible in person up close. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, oors and trunk all open and close easily. All of the chrome and plastic body trim is still present and intact. The original alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a nearly new looking set of rubber all around. All of the glass and lenses are intact. These classic Audi's are getting harder and harder to find. Early Audi's are fairly scarce as the brand's initial introduction into the U.S. market was small and limited to the Northeastern region of the country. They were very expensive cars by comparison and took a while to catch on. This is a car you rarely see driving on the road and it gets plenty of looks.

I would also rate the interior of this Audi to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets show well and are clean throughout the interior. The deeply bolstered cloth seats are comfortable, lean and extremely supportive. There is one piece of wood veneer missing to the left of the steering wheel. The other veneers are all present, ntact and show well for their age. The dash and headliner are clean, lthough the cloth for the vent panel for the sunroof is sagging. The power windows all work but the right two are slow and the RF does not want to completely close. The sunroof works. The mirrors do not. The radio is in "safe" mode and I don't see the code in the manual. The climate control system is fully automatic. I can feel the compressor kick on when you turn it on but the fan doesn't always want to blow. The only other thing I should point out about the interior is that the trim piece around the shifter boot is loose. The trunk is spacious and clean. The original owners book is included. While she does have a few interior issues, here aren't anything you can't live with. If you're familiar with older VW/Audi's, ou probably already know what you're getting into when you drive one of these cars. I learned to drive on these cars and have owned more 80's VW/Audi's than I can count. They're kind of their own thing. You should get familiar with these vehicles before owning one if you're considering your first one.

Mechanically, his Audi appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.3L inline five cylinder engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine doesn't smoke. Her road manners are excellent. I was pleased when I took my first drive in this Audi. The suspension feels tight as a drum. The brakes and steering feel good, oo. The engine keeps proper temperature and excellent oil pressure. There have been no idiot lights on. Like most older CIS / Motronic cars, he sometimes idles high...sometimes idles a little bumpy...but always runs strong. The clutch engages smoothly and does not slip or chatter. Gear changes through the manual transmission are crisp and precise, s they should be. Out on the highway, he drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. You can take your hands off the wheel at 75mph and she tracks nice and straight. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
