1962 Austin Healey 3000 MK 2 -BT
This car is a barn find restoration. I was rebuilding this car to be a daily driver, ut family issues have created the need to sell.
Paint is new and beautiful with a small chip on trailing edge of passenger door.
Motor runs smooth with all new internals, istons, earings, ardened valve seats, alves, ll new valve train (complete re-build by a master engine rebuilder within last 4 months). SU cars re-built by an SU specialist All new fuel delivery from the gas tank forward, ncluding fuel pump, nd fuel lines.
Radiator has been re-cored, ith new hoses, nd thermostat
Transmission shifts smooth, eals are fresh, ith electric overdrive (new solenoid). The clutch and pressure plate are new and the flywheel had been re-surfaced, ith a new ring gear installed.
Brakes, ront and rear have been completely re-built. New and complete brake lines, ront to back and at each wheel. Wheel cylinders have been replaced with new ones. Calipers refreshed with new pistons, nd rubber, ith machining done where required. Rear drums turned, nd new brake shoes installed
Engine compartment completely re-furbished to original. It's beautiful! Z
All new electrical. New battery, istributor re-built with new and proper wires. Complete new wiring harness, ront to back. Starter and generator completely rebuilt.
I worked hard on the chrome, nd it looks very good for a car that is over 50 years old.
The floor has just been insulated. I have a complete trunk matt kit, hich will be included with the car
This car is street legal, nd well on the way to completion, ut still needs a few more things to become road worthy. The front suspension needs a complete re-build, long with the windshield motor, nd shock absorbers. The shock absorbers need to be either re-built or replaced, nd the interior could use an update. The interior has not changed from when the car was found. I have the tonneau cover, nd a spare tire. The tires are Pirelli Cinturators, ut are old and tired and need replacement
I have spared no expense to this point on this Austin Healey. I had one when I was a teenager, ut circumstances force me to sell. This car will be a true winner when everything is completed
