I decided to end the original auction for this car and re-list, to include more undercarriage photos and to simply set expectations on pricing.For your consideration, I am offering my beautifully restored 1965 Austin Healey Mark III. The car was the subject of a body-off frame restoration in 2011-2012. This was a 12 month, nut-and-bolt effort. His intent was to make a personal statement, with everything done to factory specifications mechanically, while adding special finishes and subtle appearance changes. All trim, chrome, bumpers and rubber were restored/replaced. The top is new. The interior was done in a light saddle color, with white 100-6 gauges and includes a very powerful Sony sound system, with a removable speaker system, crafted to fit on the jump seat. The shifter was lowered to better "fall-to-the-hand", as it should. The taillights were also "reversed" for safety, with the brake lights now operating from the top. I have just recently re-painted the car in the same green/grey light metallic done in 2012, correcting paint flaws and a few minor road chips from my previous 4 years of use. Improvements to his effort include a Moto Lita steering wheel, new side windows, new rear view mirrors, a complete new stainless steel exhaust system, a new trunk pan and a rebuild the front suspension. The car comes with the tonneau cover, boot and a custom car cover. This car will not disappoint and has no known mechanical issues.
