Description for Austin Healey 3000 1959
1959 Austin Healey 3000 BN7 race car prepared by owner/driver J.C. Kilburn of Reed's Race Rats. This car has competed at numerous events including the Monterey Historic Races in 1979,1980, and 1981 and in subsequent years. Also ran in Petrini'sWine Country Classic. Car has run at Green Valley Texas, Sear's Point, Portland IR, Riverside and Thunderhill. Chassis is in good condition with no crash damage or rust. Clear California title, currently registered, used only sparingly on weekends by enthusiast owner for back road touring. A good solid car for vintage racing, eligible for CSRG, HMSA and vintage rallies. Car would be an excellent restoration candidate as it is the rare and desirable BN7 two seat roadster, or leave as is as a period race car. Included in sale is windshield frame (glass is cracked), top frame(top needs replacement) original side curtains, and front and rear bumpers.I willassist in loading, though buyer must make arrangements for transport. Payment to be made in cash.On Aug-16-16 at 12:15:04 PDT, seller added the following information:I have included some pictures of the car's rocker panels and running gear. This is not a restored car, but rather a good driver, with rebuilt running gear, that has extensive race history. It has a great patina, that I feelmakes the car a great piece of history. It garners a lot of attention wherever it goes.Log book, Heritage certificate and some race programs/memorabilia included in sale. Car has spent the majority of it's life in Texas and California, and so has avoided the usual rust issues.
