Description for Austin Healey Other 1965
Very nice Austin Healy 1965 Sebring Roadster replica by Classic Roadsters. A real head-turner of a car in the classic European style that was professionally built in 1989 with engine rebuilt in 2005/2006. The car was only driven 400 miles in the last 8 years -- until this fall, when it was driven regularly on short and long distance trips. It's a cool little car that's very responsive – a real pleasure to drive. The only negative is the paint. The Candy Red with metal flake color is perfect for the car but there are small bubbles that appeared all over. There's also a gas stain below the filler. The passing gear kick-down doesn't work, probably needs linkage connected. The car has a clear "Recreational" title.
302 Ford engine, rebuilt in 2006
Competition cam
Roller tip rocker arms
Edelbrock intake w/ Holley 600 carb.
Ford SVO aluminum heads
New oil pump, lifters, bearings, water pump
Reground crankshaft
SVO stainless headers
New Mustang II radiator
.40 over pistons and rings
New timing chain and gears
Special "Saturday Nite Special" torque converter w/ 1800 rpm stall
Mustang II suspension
Mustang II 8" rear end and brakes
C4 tranny Quick shifter
The convertible top and boot are new with no issues. The plexiglass window has some discoloring which is typical of this material, but who puts the top up anyway???
Interior is clean, without any noticeable wear. Nice wood dash with engraved plaque identifying car builder.
Tires are show little wear, probably 80 to 90% of tread remaining.
All electrical works as it should. Has AM/FM cassette radio with very decent set of speakers.
Car is sold as is. Take a good close look at the pictures – we've done our best to show all the details, including the issues with the paint. Feel free to ask any questions and we'll be glad to answer promptly and as completely as possible. Don't miss out on a car you'll get a lot of fun out of.
Thanks for looking...
