It is optioned with the unusual steel wheels and overdrive delete set-up (3. 54 differential). and it is believed to have been restored to it's correct factory original color scheme and configuration. Rarely do these cars come up for sale on the open market. The last two restored 3000 Mk2 Two-Seaters at auction (Monterey 2014) fetched $170. 00 and $203. 00. This car presents a rare. blue-chip. investment grade opportunity for the classic car investor. These very low production figures guarantee that this car should only escalate in value in the coming years ahead. Approximate survival rate on MK2 BN-7's is roughly two-thirds of factory production. This car is certified in the Tricarb Registry. retains all of its original ID tags ( firewall VIN and body tags. engine ID plate). and has a known history back to the early 1970's. This car was ground-up. panels-off restored approximately 4 years ago. has been exercised regularly on the road. and is still presenting very well. The car was thoroughly restored to a very good standard by the previous owner. This included a complete stripdown to it's bare chassis with all panels being removed from the car. The owner then completed bodywork and paint to a very nice standard in the correct and original shade of Olde English White. The car was retrimmed in the correct factory color of medium/bright red. and the seats were correctly finished in leather. A new Everflex softtop has been fitted. The original steel wheels were powder-coated and fitted with new radial tires. The engine was completely rebuilt with a high-lift camshaft. high torque starter. spin-on oil filter and electronic ignition. The original block was cracked. so another triple-carb shortblock was sourced with a later engine number tag. and rebuilt. The car still retains it's original engine number plate and is provided for documentation's sake. A majority of all items on the car were refreshed or restored. and the final result is quite satisfying.
