1960 Austin Healey 3000 BT7 MK1 You are bidding on a very rare 1960 Austin Healey 3000 BT7 MKI that is presented in the very desirable black over red leather interior combination. This particular model has been converted to a very strong running Ford racing 2. 3 liter four cylinder that has an Offenhauser intake and Holley 600 CFM 4 barrel carb. The vehicle is a REAL 3000 (not a replica) and since it doesn’t have a big V8 it has not been cut up to complete the conversion. It still has the original wire wheels (including the spare) in good condition. The frame and underbody are very solid and the vehicle is rust free. The top and windows are original and still in decent shape. These big Healeys have been steadily increasing in value for a long time now and with most of them rotted away a good solid example is getting harder and harder to find and will continue to rise in value. This particular 3000 is in very solid condition. it would be considered a solid driver and with the Ford motor it is extremely reliable. It would also make for a solid start to a restoration if someone wanted to put an original healey motor. It has a very nice shine and good deep luster. There are only a few small flaws such as minor stone chips and some cracking on the hood. Body:A great rust free body overall. the lines are nice and tight. The only flaw is the hood which is slightly misaligned. Trim:The chrome on the car is in good driver quality shape. there is minor pitting but no rust and all the pieces still have a good shine. The trim piece that runs across the top of the fenders and rear wheel arches is missing. Interior:The seats have been reupholstered in brilliant red with black piping and look great. The carpets are in serviceable condition but not great. The steering wheel is original but is starting to chip away. There is a piece that can be seen in pictures behind the driver side seat that is slightly worn. There is one piece of trim that surrounds the tach that is missing. Mechanical:The vehicle is in excellent mechanical condition. the Motor isn’t original but runs exceptionally well. There are no other mechanical issues to note.
