Leyland Mini. Just out of the garage and up for auction. here is a 1976 Austin Mini 1000 classic produced by British Leyland. The car was dropped off by a local towing company who. in recent possession of a right-hand drive clown car. knew just the place to take it for a little attention. This is a UK import with Right-Hand Drive steering. The little guy is now running and driving with 50. 72 original miles on a clear PA title on what we believe to be the original motor with the clock turning over as we took it out for it's preliminary test drive. The car is a real hoot to drive and runs great! The motor lights up. 4-speed manual transmission shifts great. the brakes stop. That said. the tub is badly rusted in the floors and A-pillars and is seeking a home that will pursue a full restoration. The driver floor is patched with screwed-in sheet metal. The driver-side (right side) A-pillar does not support the weight of the door due to deterioration and thus does not open correctly. These are the areas of most-significant interest. however. all these body parts and panels are readily available through a handful of businesses. including Moss. and are quite affordable too! We have even seen a few "body in whites" full tubs for sale over on the UK island. The car is being sold as-is. where-is. with no guarantees expressed or implied as to its originality or current state of safety. The car is not suitable to be driven and must be towed from our location. We would sincerely enjoy and encourage any interested party to come inspect the vehicle prior to entertaining a bid or offer and we would be more than happy to go over the ins-and-outs of it with you.
