Description for Austin Innocenti Cooper 1973
1973 MIni Innocenti CooperItalian version of the Austin MiniExcellent condition in and outRestored in Italy approximately 12 years ago then imported by U.S. serviceman stationed in ItalyNO RUSTGauges and switches in ItalianI purchased this vehicle approximately 3 years ago from a discharged serviceman. It was his personal driver while stationed in Italy and he had it shipped to US after his discharge. The car is in beautiful condition and is driven only on sunny days. Otherwise it sits in my garage. The odometer is in kilometers and it shows 75,000 which translates to about 45,000 miles. The speedo stopped working earlier this year but I have put less than 100 miles on it since it stopped working. In the 3 years I have owned it, have put approximately 2,000 miles on the car.The car was restored but the panels appear to be all original. The floors are excellent. There is no rust to be found other than a very small chip of paint here or there that may have a spot of surface rust. The boot floor, -panels, ear pockets and rockers are all rust free. The bonnet sometimes catches when opening and there is some chipping painther the windshield where the hood will catch when opening.
The seats have custom suede covers on them which are in like-new condition. I have never even uncovered the the seats but they appear to be in great shape.
The car is currently on the road, egistered and insured but the inspection has expired. The windshield wiper motor is not currently functioning. One of the brushes inside has broken and Ihaven't had the need to have it fixed as it does not leave the garage in the rain.
All lights and switches function as they should with the exception of the turn signals. The stalks have broken off but the signals can still be operated by pushing the switch.
From what I understand, he motor is a 1275 cc and has dual carbs. It is a great running engine and easily keeps up at highway speeds. The car is tight and does not shake or shimmy at all.The tires and wheels are in great shape with very few miles and no weather-checking.
Overall, his Innocenti is a great car and will make its new owner very happy. I am only selling because my daughter is in her freshman year of college and have to sell a few toys to help pay for tuition. On Sep-20-15 at 17:39:29 PDT, eller added the following information:
