You are bidding on Kermit. a true 1967 Austin Mini Cooper "S" Mk II. The vehicle has been documented by the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust. This was an export model and has always been a left hand drive car. In the pictures of the car there is copy of the Heritage Trust Certificate giving dates of manufacture and shipping to the US. Although the engine block in the car is the original I would not call the engine original as all moving parts have been replaced. the engine was bored to the maximum. and an aluminum Downton head with roller rockers was added. the engine now produces about 125hp. The carb was changed to a Weber with a custom intake. and exhaust headers to aid the breathing. The interior is Black and Gray and features 5 point racing seat belts for both driver and passenger. This is a fast. capable little street car. or a killer autocross weapon. I am regretfully selling Kermit because we have down sized our living quarters as we are empty nesters and the garage downsize was drastic from 5 car 2 motorcycles to barely just 2 cars. So now Kermit sits in the storage garage and does not get driven as much as it should. A large number of spares come with the car.
