This stunning big Healey 3000 has been with the same owner for over 40 years.The car had a complete documented restoration in 1997.The last owner had over 25 British cars in his collection,this was his baby that was used on a regular basis.There are restorations and there are restorations,this man knew how to sort cars and did well sorting this car during restoration.Everything works as it was designed and does it well.From the Overdrive unit to the operation of the door handles as well as the fit of the doors,the car simply comes together.The Austin Healey car was the marque that got me started in the collector car business in the 70's,decades later I am still in love with the marque.Every example that comes through our doors either as a derelict or a restored example,I want to keep,this is no exception.What a treat to drive a 3000 when they are sorted and all work as it should.I have posted over 80 pictures of this car with no photoshop,just as I see the car.Review the pictures,note how straight and true the car comes together,the aluminum cowl is razor straight,the body gaps are a perfect factory fit.Review the undercarriage and note the lack of corrosion(the car was a Texas,Alabama car).The interior and mechanics are as nice and strong as the car is beautiful.The gauges work perfectly.The car runs cool and smooth even on these hot summer days.The overdrive works without hesitation.The glass and chrome are without flaw.
The car is located at our indoor facility 25 miles east of downtown Nashville Tn.Independent inspections are welcomed and encouraged.
