Description for Austin America 1969
HELLO ALL. Gmbidding is proud to announce the sale of a very special car that I personally own. This is not being sold for a friend, he neighbor, r the friend of the neighbor. This car is not being sold locally and will not end early. It will end in 7 days. My name is on the title. You will have the opportunity if you are the high bidder to own the great 1969 Austin America 1300 automatic transmission. Very regrettable sale as I just purchased the finest one owner Jaguar xj6 series II in the country. You missed the Jag, ut you can own one of the finest Austin Americas left. Supposedly only about 100 of these cars exist in the US and mine is one of the better one. "Yea Baby"has less than 47,000 original miles. No rust or wrecks. Pleasure driven only!! Garaged and covered. I believe the transmission was overhauled as I have old clutch discs. Superb running and driving with quite, o smoke engine. Custom new and quiet exhaust system. New Falken tire. New brakes. Superb suspension with correct automatic leveling. Paint is good but not perfect. I spent $250 for a professional buff and wax. I have waxed the car frequently using only Meguiars products. People at the gas station and grocery store ALWAYS tell me "it looks like new" so you get the point. This car not only makes people smile but they actually laugh! Could this car bring world peace?!?!? True story- a lady next to me at the gas station walked around the Austin and then said "I'd like to marry you!" Interior is mostly original with great upholstery and door panel. Carpet, believe is original. Some old water stains on headliner above doors. Original radio with 2 speaker system. I only use Castrol oils with frequent oil changes. I have a good supply of NOS oil filters which are rare and out of production. I purchased the dealer option "Flying A"hubcaps from England. They are mint-NOS. The "Austin" badge is also from England and from a 1920's Austin car. Smooth and tight handling car.Car tracks straight down highway. No suspension leaks. Some oil dribbling from transmission cover bolts. No clunking suspension. An easy and cheap car to maintain. New SU electronic fuel pump. All gauges work. Turn signals work. Very happy to answer any and all questions. PLEASE, erious enthusiasts only. Nice cars like this should always be shipped. There are a lot of professional, ependable shippers. I will be there with the shipper upon pick-up, 500 non-refundable deposit due within 48 hours. My friendly professional credit union will assist you with wire transfer.
