This 1993 BMW 325i hasM50B25 long block with a Getrag 5-speed manual and a 3.16 open rear diff thats in working condition. It will still start and move under it's own power.Estimated180,000 miles on the engine, ut notentirelyconfident in that figure. That's what I was told by the PO.This is purely a parts E36 BMW. I'd like to sell the entire car as a whole instead of parting eachindividualpiece out for the sake of my time.Willing to write up a bill of sale if you would like. The car is listed locally oncraigslistand surrounding towns. I reserve the right to end the sale early if someone local comes to purchase the car.
Some background history of what I know/what I was told.-Car was bought and usedfrequently in the winterin the north east, 'm unsure of how it has ended up in central virginia. I had bought the car from a person over craigslist a few months ago in Harrisonburg, irginia. He had previously bought it from someone else without a title. It is currently not have a state inspection, insurance, nd license plates. PO had decided to sell it based on the fact he wanted to put money into his then newly purchased E36 M3.I had bought the car with theintentionof using the transmission anddriveline swapin one of my other E36 project cars that was an automatic but my plans have had to be cut short due to some storage issues.
The frame is the worst part about this car. There is rust and holes on both sides front and back of the sills. There is a reasonably large 6" hole in the trunk floor and has rusted through. The clear coat has failed and the paint is faded. There's of course scratches and dings and dents all along the body. If you are looking for a good frame to build your own car onto this is not that car whatsoever.
When I had purchased the car, did drive it about 60 miles to my home and found out that barely any of the gauges worked. None of the windows rolled down and the rear doors do not open. The AC system had been long disconnected. The PO also put what seems to be arelativelystraight piped exhaust system.Engine and Transmission/Driveline seem solid and would be a good contender for any engine/transmission swaps.
