Description for BMW 5-Series 1990
I hate to sell this car, ut the time has come to let it go.
I have a very fair price on this car. Better than fair actually. NADA book values are as follows:
low $3925
average $5700
high $7775
These prices are current, just looked them up right before putting this car up for sale.
If you are looking for a 5 series Beemer, ut don't want to pay top dollar for it, top looking, ou just found it!
Not exactly a big surprise, here is a reason the price is low. You could call this car a "fixer - upper". It's not in all that bad of shape, ut it does need some work.If you are looking to do a restoration, his would also be a fantastic project car since it's not a junker. This would be a great starting point for a custom build! The combined cost of the purchase price & restoration cost would be below the high NADA book value (Obviously, estoration cost depends on exactly what you do to the car). You could make money on this car. Or, ust do a couple quick repairs and keep it for yourself.
1990 BMW 525i (a.k.a E34)

4 speed auto trans.

Interior:
It is in above average condition. 1 small split seem in the stitching of the drivers seat & the radio has been removed. Neither of these problems are a big deal. Most unrestored 26 year old cars have interiors in way worse condition than this car.
Body:
It is in fair condition, ut really notbad for a 26 year old car in Ohio. I would call this car a "15 footer". Looks good from 15 feet away, ut up close, ou can see some issues. Some rust in a few spots, ut nothing severe. The worst of the rust is the bottoms of the fenders, ight in front of the doors, ery typical.Since the car is black, he rust isn't too noticeable. Scratches & chips in the paint. Paint on the drivers door is peeling. Basically, he carneeds repainted & some minor body work.Glass is good. Restoring the body would be pretty straight forward since there is nothing major wrong with it. That is, f you even wanted to do a restoration to the body.
Mechanical:
Lots of new parts & maintainance already done. Within the last couple hundred miles I've replaced both passenger side control arms with the ball joints, tire, temp sensors, hermostat, dle control valve, an clutch, ir box, attery, nd had the entire cooling system flushed. The water pump has gone bad, ill need to be replaced. I have a brand new one which goes with the car when sold. The car also needs a new muffler. It's probably due for a tune up & since I don't drive the car, he brakes are probably getting rust on them & the battery will likely need charged.
Prior owner was an 82 year old retired cop who definatly treated this car like his babey. Since I've owned it, 've hardly put any miles on it. I bought this because I wanted a project car & felt that this 525iwould be an easy one since the overall condition isn't that bad. I've done a fair amount of work to it, ut did not finish it.I'm selling it becauseI have a couple ofexpensive hobbies & can't afford them both, o, he BMW has to go to help pay for the other hobby.
Selling it cheap because it does need some repairs. This car does run & drive, ut due to the bad water pump, do not consider the car to be road worthy.
No, his car is not perfect. It is a 26 year old car. But, he condition isn't horrible, t has tones of potential & it's priced well below book value.
The original MSRP on this car was $33,200 (a lot of money in 1990!!). And it was 2 grand more than a Corvette!
$2500is what it takes to buy this car.
A $250 non refundable deposit is due via Pay Pal within 24 hours of the end of the auction. If you do not use Pay Pal, US Post Office money order can be overnighted to me for the down payment.Balance due within 7 days of the end of the auction. Balance can be paid in any of the standard ways of paying for a car. But, lease note that any, nd all, ayments MUST clear my bank BEFORE I will release the car & title to the buyer. This includes Pay Pal. I do not consider the car to be sold until payment has cleared the bank. FYI: in the past it has taken as long as 8 days for an out of state check to clear the bank.
Located in Portage county, orth east Ohio. About 1/2 way between Cleveland, oungstown & Akron. Close to the PA border.
Transport of the car is the buyers responsibility. I can not deliver it. I can hold the car for a maximum of 30 days to allow ample time for the buyer to make transport arrangements. If you need more than 30 days, t may be possible for other arrangements to be made, uch as moving the car to a local storage facility, t the buyers expense.
It is stated within this auction that this car is in need of repairs & is not road worthy. I currently have no insurance for it & thelicense plate for this caris expired. For these reasons I can not allow it to be taken for a test drive. Interested buyers can hear it run (assuming the battery is not dead), nd drive the carin my driveway only. This is the reason for the cheap price! $1425 below lowest book value, he cost of getting the car back on the road should be MUCH LESSthan $1425!. Car is sold as is.
