Description for BMW M6 1984

This is a rare Euro 1984 BMW M635 with a twin cam 24 valve M88/3 engine, 5 speed manual transmission( getrag 280 ) and 3.73 Limited Slip differential.
25k miles since an upper end rebuild, A leaking head gasket prompted the rebuild, it was a slow progression caused mainly by the car sitting dormant for 10 years. All new timing chain guides, tensioner, chain, Upgraded Crank hub which was made by Steve Haygood but specs are better then Fahey Hub. Zero head warpage, no burnt valves, Complete Valve job, all new valve seats and seals. 3 Angle grind.
I just checked the valve lash last week and all gaps are within specs.. Compression numbers are 190-200psi on a slightly warm engine, Altitude 500ft.
I have had the car for 4 years, purchased from a third party who had the signed pink from the original owner. As far as I can tell the car lived it’s entire life in Northern California and must of been garaged, Zero Rust. The car had not been registered for 10 years when I purchased it.
So the list of things that have been done is extremely extensive during the past 4 years.

Rear sub-frame bushings(Lemforder),Rear pitman arms(Lemforder), Guibo, New sachs Clutch Kit, Clutch master and slave, braided hydraulic clutch hose, trans input seal and shift seal, trans mounts, Both engine Mounts, TPS, All Idle control hoses, Rear Main seal, valve cover gaskets, NOS Air Filter Housing, AFM(New from Dealer), All engine temp sensors, Fuel Regulator, Oil pressure sensor, Cold Start Injector, Fuel Injectors Cleaned and Flow tested, Auxiliary Air valve, Heater/Radiator Hoses,fan clutch, Behr Radiator, thermostat, Upgraded Cooling Fan Temp Sensors, Throttle cable, distributor cap and rotor, Coolant header tank, Washer tank, windshield washer pumps, windshield washer lines and check valves, upgraded e32 front brake rotors, rear brake rotors, brake pads, Complete steering linkage overhaul with lemforder parts(All Tie rods, center link, Idler arm), Lemforder Lower control arms and Upper control arms, Front Upper Struts mounts, front wheel bearings, odometer gears, Powerflex UCA bushings, sunroof seal, trunk seal, Antenna, In tank fuel pump, main fuel pump and filter, fuel regulator. Power steering hoses, all fuel hoses, All HVAC vent controls, both Tail light Lenses, Hella Headlights with 100 watt bulbs, Set of 8 oem seat shocks for Manual seats.
Brake fluid flush, Redline MT-90 Trans fluid, Redline diff fluid, power steering flush with New filter. Coolant flush.
Euro Dinan Chip, All cold solder joints repaired on ECU.
Dinan lowering springs Complete Auto Solutions Short Shift Kit(Best on the market)
M Wrench Steering Box Mount Upgrade, Euro 850csi Hella horns.
Less then 500 miles on front tires, rears are 8/32nd tread left.
AC is still R12, gets very cold.
Rims are Staggered e32 Style 5’s- very rare.
Tools are perfect, includes first aid kit, all manuals, Original Never used spare, NOS Safety Triangle and a thick stack of receipts.
All new factory Silver Stripes installed one year ago.
Everything works on the car, except the tape deck portion of the Becker Mexico, it just needs a new drive belt, AM/FM works well, rebuilt hirschmann antenna.
Rear speaker shelf has new clamshells from dealer, New shelf carpet, recovered B Pillars. recovered Leather steering wheel with Tri-color M Thread. Dash is in excellent condition.
Custom Track pipe and US M6 cat, The car has a great exhaust note when the track pipe is installed.
The paint shows nicely but does have a few chips on the nose and the front air dam.
The car has received numerous car show awards during my ownership.
This car does have a BAR sticker and will pass CA smog.(It is not an easy task but it can be done.) The car has a clean CA Title
