Description for BMW 2002 1972
1972 BMW 2002 Tii. Vin 2760688. 52,239 Miles. Golf Yellow. Black Leather Interior. 5-Speed Manual. Manual, Service Records, and Tools. This great looking Tii has undergone a thorough and tasteful restoration, and the car is absolutely stunning! The exterior is in superb shape and the period correct Golf Yellow paint glistens. All chrome pieces look brand new and the car is an eye catcher on the road. The interior has been tastefully upgraded with heated black leather Recaro seats which are extremely comfortable. A modern sound system was added as well, which included a Alpine INA-W900BT navigation receiver/Bluetooth adapter, Pioneer GM9500f Digital amplifier, and Hertz Speakers. Performance wise, this BMW is spot on! The motor was fully rebuilt approximately 5,000 miles ago and pulls very strong. The original Kugelfischer fuel injection still functions perfectly! Shifting action is impeccable and the car corners with ease. The BMW 2002tii is one of the most popular and potent early 70’s sedan type sports cars. BMW built the 1600/1602/1802 and 2002 catering to families in 1970’s Germany and neighboring markets. The 2002tii (for fuel injection) is a similar car visually, but with a very different temperament. A Kugelfischer mechanical fuel injection was added to the 2.0l inline 4 and output was increased to a whooping 130hp, on par with the 1972 Porsche 911T! Along with larger brakes, better steering and suspension components, these cars performed very well and were highly successful in Rallyes and Touring Races in the early 70’s Europe. Collector car financing available at competitive rates.
