Description for BMW 2002 19730000
Really nice example of a 73' roundie Tii with molded-in fender flares and a conversion to twin Dellorto 40 carburetors in place of the mechanical fuel injection. The car features a roll cage with door bars, modified suspension, Recaro front seats, and a 5-speed Getrag manual from an E30,which necessitated a shortened driveshaft. The wheels and tires have less than 500 miles on them and the rims are custom Corsa steelies made in California, 8x15 with zero tire rub. The car has the look, the feel and the sound to be a great rally, or daily cruiser! The cabin features the claimed-original tii dash with clock, as well as the factory door panels. The rest of the interior has been removed, replaced, or modified. A roll cage is fitted, and the rear bench has been deleted. The original front seats have been removed in favor of adjustable-back Recaros with 4-point harnesses. The center stack has been modified with a gauge panel covering critical engine functions. The wipers, windows, and heater all work as they should. The odometer shows 75k miles and is said to work but true mileage is unknown. The car retains its original engine block, but the cylinder head has been replaced and twin side-draft 40 Dellorto carburetors added. The engine also features a Korman Autoworks intake, Mann camshaft, MSD ignition, Accell coil, stainless radiator, and after-market header recently wrapped and a full custom stainless exhaust. A thermostat-controlled electric fan is fitted, as are an electric fuel pump, remote oil filter, and a new trunk-mounted battery.A 5-speed manual transmission from an early 1980s e30 was recently installed along with new clutch master and slave cylinders and a custom driveshaft. The rear end is a 3.91 with a limited-slip differential. The best thing about this car is something you can not get through pictures and that is the sound of the exhaust with the enhanced cam and stainless pipes. The car handles beautiful through turns and shifts smooth. The car is an instant pleaser after a long day at work!https://youtu.be/Mx31jjinJXA Sorry for the poor quality video, I pulled of a BMW instagram account. The photo had over 13,000 views!!
