Description for BMW M3 1991
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY :1991 Brilliantrot M3 for sale that had some light front end damage which has been professionally repaired. I have owned the car for over 3 years. The car was a CA car for the past 25+ years . I want to finish this project but I just picked up another project M3. When I purchased the car the right front suspension was damaged along with the steering rack and the strut tower. All other VIN tags are present other than the driver door and the passenger side front fender. The hood, grilles, and head lights are not damaged and are included with the car.The shock tower was pushed back slightly and it did not require replacement of the front frame rail (otherwise known as the engine mount support). There were no wrinkles that I could see other than the very front end of the inner fender structure. It was easily straightened without replacing the frame rail or shock tower. I have included multiple pics of the car during the repair process as well as some that show the car with damage before it was taken apart. Since I have owned this M3the following repairs have been completed:
Front end was completely straightened and measurements were verified on a frame rig. The only part that was replaced was the passenger side front fender (NEW OEM), passenger side front bumper bracket and the apron that sits right in front of the shock tower. (most of these are pictured pre repair and post repair)The core support is original to the car and it is straight. The passenger side side skirt has been repaired and it looks great. I will install the skirts and the hood before the car is picked up. The front bumper cover has been repaired and most of the paint work is done (both sides of the car, the hood, both side skirts and the front bumper cover) I swapped the front strut tubes from another car that I have so the driver side front strut tube is bent. I have a reconditioned driver side front tube and brand new front Bilstein OEM strut inserts that are included with the car . The following parts have been replaced and the car hasn't moved since replacement of these items so there are ZERO miles on the parts listed below.
new Z3 1.9 steering rack with a new steering shaft couplernew rear polyurethane trailing arm bushingsnew polyurethane Rear sub frame bushingsnew front lower control arms (lemforder)new outer tie rod ends (lemforder)new front control arm bushingsnew stainless / coated brake linesthe trailing arms and rear sub frame were re painted when the work was done.new Ground Control Touring front camber platesnew rear bilstein OEM replacement shocks.Excel Motorsports in California performed the suspension repairs. I'm sure that they will remember this car and can provide honest feedback on the condition.
The interior is very clean and the seats were re-upholstered recently in beige leather. The dash has a large crack in it.If you pick the car upI have a crack free dash that I'll throw in.The glove box is damaged too. I have a clean used glove box that I will include. This car is 100 % RUST FREE.The rest of the paint is decent but a little faded. I buffed a small spot that came back to life but it will never be perfect. If I were to keep the car I would repaint the rest of the car (cowl, roof, rear bumper, rear spoiler and trunk lid).
The S14 is stock and seems to run strong. There are minor leaks but it does not drip on the garage floor. The A/C compressor is missing. The car comes with a large stack of maintenance records too.
The differential has been rebuilt with 4.27 ratios.
We can finish the paint work through the body shop that I used for an additional charge. Service 1st in Chester, MD performed the repairs.
I just put about $11,000.00 into this car so after the repainting the rest of the car you will not have much left to do. I reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time due to other methods of advertising. This vehicle is SOLD AS IS without warranty expressed or implied. I am willing to sell this car to overseas buyers with wire transfer to my bank only.
This car car does not have any accident history or salvage history on Carfax.
The repairs on this car were fairly simple and far easier to deal with than rust so do not try to de-value the car when making offers. You can finish this project easily and be ahead as far as the value goes when repairs are completed. Feel free to text or call (preferred) - 443-226- five nine four zero
