Description for BMW 3-Series 1991

1991 BMW 325iC E30 RWD two door w/ 5sp manual transmission- 100% original and unmolested. This car has been relegated to weekend use (BMW events) and is rarely taken out of the garage. That being said. the car could be driven across the country today with absolutely no issues. Diamond Black Metallic with Parchment leather interior Original owners for all 23 years. no modifications. and all OEM parts from dealer with any repairs always done by a certified tech. This was the final year of production of the E30 and the most sought after by collectors. Options The car has the rare BMW sport seats. sport suspension. heated seats (work great). and fog lights. Overall Condition Brand new PA inspection and emissions w/ stickers valid until November 2015. If you are not familiar with PA. this is a very thorough inspection that looks at everything (suspension. brakes. exhaust. emissions. rust. tires and almost any part that is wear and tear). All lubricants changed when inspection was done. A more complete list of recent repairs is shown below. A/C compressor kicks on and works fine. There are no check engine lights lit. All power windows. tach. speedometer. lights. foglights. work fine. The car is one of the nicest originals you will find. I would rate the interior/exterior condition 9/10. In short. you don't see 5 sp E30 BMW's with original paint and leather. under 100K miles. crack-free dash. no rust issues. with fresh state inspections/emissions come around too often anymore. Exterior No accidents or work has ever been done to the body. straight as an arrow on every panel. The VIN numbers match everywhere. The paint on the body is original and still has a rich shine to it. The car was parked in a garage for the last 23 years and it looks that way. Even the chrome around the windows and bumpers is shiny and not the brown color that is seen on most that sit outside. The exterior is about as good as you will see for an original. Also. there are no rust issues. Interior The interior of the car is all original and immaculate. I have taken the seats out for a couple of the pics in the ad just to show how clean the carpet and seats are. The leather passenger sport seat and rear seat have almost zero usage throughout the cars life. The leather on the drivers seat is structurally good but shows a little wear from getting in and out (bolsters on both sport seats are firm and feel snug). The rear seat has two small splits along the seam (split is in threading. not in the leather) where stitching has loosened. This could be re-sewn without replacing and is very minor. The carpet is clean and the mats are brand new BMW floor mats. The dash is perfect with no cracks and the trunk area is also. The only non-OEM part is the CD player installed but I will include the original BMW tape deck head unit to return to stock if desired. This car comes with everything it came with day one. 2 keys. a full size spare with tire. fold up toolkit. lift jack. and owner's manual. Mechanical Over $4000 in mechanical work has been put into this car over the past 6K miles with a folder and stack of receipts for all work listed (pics of receipts can be emailed if desired) The car currently has only 92K miles (less than 4K miles/year) with the M20 2. 5L inline-6 motor. The motor runs as strong as ever and you will be hard pressed to find one that feels as smooth as this through the entire power range. The clutch grabs nicely as well with no slipping. Recent work done on car since 86K miles: Brand new timing belt and waterpump ($1500) All BMW OEM struts on all fours corners done at 86K miles ($1400) Brake pads on all four corners ($350) Brand new full exhaust system ($600) New battery ($125) All fluids and general tune-up items done. ($250) Many other different random parts such as bushings. oil level sensor. relays. fuel pump. plugs/cap/rotor etc have been replaced in the past few years. (>$1000) As far as the car's needs: overall it's a turn-key car mechanically but I would say the convertible soft top could use a replacement ($200-300 on ebay). I keep the car in the garage and take it out on sunny days only so replacing the top was never a primary concern but if you are keeping the car outside or not covered it would need to get done right away to avoid the chance of water intrusion. The metal frame for the top is in perfect shape and rust-free. I am just referring to the fabric part which can be swapped on and off. It has the more desired manual roof so no need to ever worry about any power motor needing replacement. The car is 23 years old and will qualify for antique plates/emissions exempt if you chose to go that route next year (although I use standard plate on it with valid emissions stickers).
