1957 BMW Isetta 300 Export Model - Sliding Windows

Runs & Drives Well (AT TIME OF PURCHASE IN MAY 2017, HAS NOT BEEN DRIVEN SINCE)- Very Complete

This 57' Isetta 300 up sale comes from a long previous ownership history in Washington State. It was last registered in WA in 1974. Currently runs and drives and shifts through all the gears. See video and more photos below. Please let me know any questions or offers before bidding.

(THE INFORMATION BELOW WAS FROM THE ORIGINAL PERSON I BOUGHT IT FROM IN MAY 2017...I HAVE NEVER DRIVEN THE CAR SINCE IT CAME OFF THE TRUCK, IT WENT RIGHT INTO A GARAGE AND HAS NOT BEEN MOVED SINCE)

The engine runs strong, we have recently adjusted and cleaned the carburetor, compression seems to be very strong. The odometer is faded but it does read 14,539. The transmission shifts smoothly and the clutch works fine. The brakes will need to be rebuilt, the ebrake is currently working fine. The key and starter work fine but the rest of the electrical will need to be sorted. The engine does not leak at all and all fluids have been recently changed.

The interior is mostly original except for the carpet and side panels, original interior kits can be purchased through multiple websites. The seat looks to be original. All the glass is in great shape with no cracks or chips.

The body on this Isetta won't win any car shows and is in need of a paint job. Upon closer inspection of the shell you will find dings, rock chips, old paint, small dents, corrosion, rust and some previous repair work on some of the lower rocker areas. The floor does have some rust and has been patched, a new floor would be needed in order to be in the concourse class :)

This Isetta is titled as a 58', but the VIN shows up in online databases a 57'. Seems like the often titled these upon the sale of them, not the date they were made.

Overall this is a great candidate for a full restoration or as an original driver with some work being done.
