Description for BMW 7-Series 1987
Vehicle DetailsThe L7 is the luxury edition of the 735i. She was only made for two years, 1986 & 1987. To my understanding, built for the European market only. Those that are here were brought over by private parties. To my knowledge, there is only one other for sale in America and that is in upstate New York. I acquired this one 10 years ago and because of my work I have had her in storage 90% of the time. The interior is in excellent condition other than 3 cracks on the dash which is quite common. The body is in showroom condition except for a wrinkle and blister on the hood. See photos. A mechanic dropped the hood with an object still in the engine compartment. Unfortunately, the rear drivers side corner is where the wrinkle is. The original passed away and gave the car to his maid/housekeeper/assistant, she in turned turned it over to her son. Not knowing the value of the car as a thue classic, he did the unthinkable. First he upgraded the sound system, then he discarded the 14" original wheels for 16" wheels of which I have just had new Michelin radial tires put on. When finding out the wheel situation, I have purchased 4, very good condition, original wheels. The radio the kid installed was stolen and as most thieves with no respect to anyone, especially themselves, cut the main cable. A few years ago I found an original radio which is included in the purchase, see photo of manuals. The shop manual is in excellant condition and the Electrical Troubleshooting Manual is in very good condition. The hood, wheels and radio are the three major issues. However the wheels are really not an issue. Since acquiring the car I have had a new master cylinder installed as well as a new power booster unit. Both OEM. recently I had a major tune up including a new alternator. Yes, there are minor issues which I am going to address one at a time. My goal is to make her a true classic. Till I got her she spent her life in Florence IN. Since I have had her she has never seen snow or salt. For more detailed questions or additional specific photos please email me your request. I will gladly assist with shipping at my end in any way I can. The car is currently in Tulsa OK Respectfully
