Description for BMW M5 1991

1991 BMW M5 E34 Alpine White gray leather interior 201700K miles. Recent work done. 346HP with Turner Motorsport Chip. Please click on the Autocheck Vehicle History Report above. It will show that this car has not been in any accidents the title and odometer check out and is within range of the AutoCheck scoring system. NO RESERVE!One of the last true M cars hand built in Germany by a handful of engineers. Clear title and it received a Fast Pass at the emissions last July meaning it did so well they cut the test short. 201700K on the odometer. This is a daily driver so the mileage will vary from this listing. The suspension was upgraded with Bilstein shocks with adjustable Ground Control coilovers by the previous owner. It appears the upper and lower control arm bushings have been replaced. The previous owner included a brand new Powerflex rear bushing set but I never installed it it will be included with the sale. The previous owner included all old parts that were replaced and there are old control arms in there so those have been replaced all cooling components have been replaced by the previous owner including the radiator fan and fan clutch. I believe the windshield was replaced in 2013 from the previous owner although there are two bullseye chips in them but I have repaired them with winshield repair epoxy. Please view the list of repairs below.I have had the windows professionally tinted since purchase along with the transmission and differential fluids professionally replaced also the Output Shaft Seal Shift Shaft Seal Safety Plate Drive Shaft Carrier Bearing all professionally replaced on my watch. The Check Engine light is on and has been the entire duration of my ownership. It was diagnosed at Autoworks Colorado as a faulty O2 sensor. The previous owner had replaced this as well so it could be a computer glitch. Either way it does not affect emissions at all and ultimately it is just an annoying light. Although I cannot guarantee it passing emissions in another state. The tires are TOYO with a V rating mounted and balanced by Discount Tire with lifetime balancing included. The tires are descent probably last until winter. It has an aftermarket Pioneer CD player installed by previous owner nice sound. All power windows including the sunroof work. All electrical works with zero issues. The A/C is charged but does not blow cold I am not sure of the issue there. New Pagid front brakes installed. It has slotted disc rotors on all four wheels and braided steel brake lines. The car has some small dings in the body and rock chipping on the front and two very minor spots of rust. I purchased exact match touch up paint and have covered those areas. The interior leather on the driver's side seat is cracked with a small tear and a bit worn some noticeable wear on the passenger seat but not too terrible and the rear seats are excellent. M badge on the floor mats and nice heavy machined silver metal M/// shift knob. There are no cracks in the dash and really the interior is excellent overall. The headliner is firm and secure to the roof. This car has been very well cared for and respected.I'll be as honest and forthright about the car as I can. Reverse pops out now and again it sometimes takes two to three tries but not always. There is a slight leak coming from behind the distributor which I can only assume it is the front camshaft seal. It leaks approximately one quart every month or so. It drips down onto things below and runs along the transmission so when the transmission gets hot it sometimes burns that oil and you will smell it and even get a little smoke from it. The interior is probably 7 out of 10 the drivers seat leather is worn with a small linear tear (see pic). The back seats have some marks and scrapes including the center armrest from transporting my bike it didn't fit in the trunk. The trunk has a leak somewhere in the right corner I noticed it was damp after a heavy rain. That corner is where the small rust mark is (see pic) so I cleaned it up and applied RustStop to the area. The front passenger side window is a bit finicky it takes about three seconds with the button pushed down for it to roll down. The rear lenses have been replaced with clear from a '95 E34 the originals will be included in the sale. The front headlight lens has a significant rock chip in it but I do have a new one I just never installed it it will be included in the sale. I read the manual when I first bought it and it said not to rev the engine above 4K until it reached operating temp and I have always adhered to that. This car starts up every time with zero issues. It idles right at 750rpm and it has a nice growl to the exhaust. The acceleration is responsive and the brakes are strong. The suspension is definitely stiff and you feel every bump but it handles like a true race car. The clutch feels great no issues there. I would like to assume that it has been replaced with a lighter race clutch as at idle it "rattles" a bit and from what I have researched race clutches for this specific year do make that noise. The forward gears in the transmission ares strong with no issues. No other rattles or weird noises at all it is a very sound car.Known issues:Slight engine oil leak (possibly front camshaft seal)A/C does not blow coldDriver's side leather worn with small tear (see pic)Two very small areas of rust (see pic)Small dings in body and rock chipping small dent in hood.Check Engine light on (Faulty O2 sensor)-Passes Colorado Emissions with flying colorsWill need AC and PS belts replacedReverse pops out now and again. Sometimes takes two to three tries but not always.I will be more than happy to answer any questions about the car although I do have limited knowledge of previous ownership and maintenance. AutoCheck shows five previous owners to include myself. Clear and clean title in hand. A brand new Powerflex rear bushing set is included. Original Owner's manual and the original BMW stereo manual are included. Original BMW stereo and CD changer are included. CD version of the factory repair manual is included.
