Description for Bugatti 35b 1927
Have a million dollar look with this 1927 Bugatti Type 35B convertible tribute / replica beauty for far less money. Put on your aviator googles and a scarf to race around town like they did they did back in the day. Of course with the windshield you do not need the goggles, but they would look great! This car looks great and shows great. The car looks better in person that the pictures show, as I have to lower the pixel count for ebay. You will not be disappointed in this car. Very well built car with a front engine 2000cc Ford 4 cylinder motor, 4 speed transmission.
The car was originally built by the Ironsmith Co. The Ironsmith tag on the fire wall says it was built in MN., where the company started in 1980. ( see tag picture) The brochure is dated 1993 says they are located in Redding Ca. it seems they moved there about that time.
I assume ( bad to do) that this car was built between 1980 and 1993.The Bugatti Type 35B sits on a custom built frame with ford rack & pinion steering, independent front suspension and a ford rear end. It is a well built car / pro built car! The Ford four cylinder engine head was completely re machined and re built in 1995. A Crane cam was installed for better performance. Have most receipts for work and parts used in the rebuild. Between the cam and the exhaust it gives the car a true sports / race car sound that Type 35B Bugatti was famous for. I feel it sounds 100 times better than the VW powered Bugatti replicas. The body and bright red paint is in very nice shape. Seats and carpet are clean. Small storage area behind the seats for the jack and personal items. Fun car drives very well, great brakes & tires. All lights are working as they should. Excellent wooden dash with classic gauges give this car a rich look. Wooden rimmed steering wheel adds to that rich interior look. There is a cockpit cover when parked that is included with the car. New battery. The motor receipts, gauge information, builders brochure and some other paper work is included. The car is titled as a replica in Wisconsin and sports Hobbyist plates. The short vin number will not show up on any reports. The vin number was assigned by the WI. DOT. and is noted on the title. This car has only been driven on sunny days and has been stored in a heated building when not used. I am listing this car for my boss who has decided to sell his car collection. I am available to show the car most any time. We will be happy to meet your transport company to load the car. Please see the pictures. PayPal to be used for a deposit only. We will do our best to answer any questions ASAP. May be the best priced. nicest Bugatti 35b on the interne, don't snooze! Thanks and Good Luck!
