Description for Buick Other 19730000

For sale is my 1973 Buick Estate Wagon. It has the glide away tailgate and window, r commonly known as a clamshell tailgate.
It has a numbers matching rebuilt Buick 455 C.I. engine backed by the reliable turbohydramatic 400 3-speed automatic transmission.
I am the second titled owner of the car. The car came from Texas.

I bought the car in March of 2011. In August I had the motor rebuilt. For the next year after that I was trying to figure a problem. It would dye when you came to a stop and the car was at operating temperature. Had the carb it came with rebuilt two more times and it still didn't work. So finally bought an edelbrock and stuck it on and it worked.
History of the car:
This car was built in the General Motors South Gate, alifornia Assembly Plant in late 1972. I believe it was bought new in California by the Texas couple I bought it from. It was first and originally titled in Texas because it did have the original Texas title when I bought it.
The car was then used as a family hauler I would presume for the next 20 some odd yrs. It was last inspected by the state of Texas for use through the year 1996. After that it was parked for quite a while.
I found it listed on craigslist in Texas. I purchased it and had it shipped up here as it was not running. Was told it only needed an oil pump. Replaced the oil pump and it ran but had a knock in the engine. So I then had it rebuilt.
Repairs:
After the rebuild it had carburetor problems. So I stuck an edelbrock onto it.
The radiator has been recored also.
Other than the motor rebuild it hasn't had any major repairs. It refused to start one day in this past September and then sat until about March when I had it towed to a local repair shop close to where it was sitting. They got it running and working like a new car.
What it needs:
Paint work
Interior Work
Flywheel
Shocks(eventually)
Newer tires
Heater Core(leaked so it's been bypassed)
Muffler(it back fired one day and blew a hole in it)Alignment
A/CPower Steering fixed

Things that work:
Engine
Transmission
Power windows and door locks(sorta)
Rear Tailgate and Window
Lights(dash lights don't work) and Signals
I have receipts for the motor rebuild. The engine only has a little bit over 2000 miles on it since the rebuild. The car body has 91,472 miles on it. the motor was rebuilt when the odometer read 89,455 miles. The transmission appeared to be too clean for a car of this vintage with almost 100k miles. It appears it was rebuilt at some point in its life before me. I can't prove this though.
The miles will increase when I drive it periodically.
I have a clean and clear Kansas title in my name and hand.

If you have any questions you can message me through here.
Also consider that this car is approx 43 yrs old. Some stuff is worn out from being used like it was designed to.
Car will come with some extra trim pieces, nd a few windows.

Search youtube for: 1973 Buick Estate Wagon and it should be the 3rd and 4th videos that will show the operation of the power windows and the rear tail gate. Also a start up video of the car.
There are a LOT of pictures so be patient while they load.
The following photos show how the car looks now in 2015.
The following photos are about two years old just for reference.
The following two photos are shortly after it was shipped from Texas in 2011.(they were taken with an old slide phone so that's the reason for the quality)
The line down the rear window is duct tape. I had plastic over the rear tailgate to keep rain out.
The following photos were taken in March of 2014 with a new phone.
These are the wheelcovers that were on the car when it arrived from Texas.
