Rare 1960 BUICK ELECTRA 225 CONVERTIBLE 401 Motor True Barn Find Project

NO RESERVE:I had to end relising a few hours agoand relist due to an error in my earlierlisting..

This is a very desirable ORIGINALRARE 1960 Buick Electra 225 Convertible with a 401 motor V-8.

This is a true barn find as the barn dust is still there. The older gentleman was the 2nd owner and bought the car in 1966. The vehicle has sat for many years in the barn as you can see from the dus, ust and seats being rotten. He said the engine is a 401 Nail head and has been in the car since he bought it in 1966. So I don't know Buicks but assume that it is the original engine. He said the motor was rebuilt and still looks nice and runs great.. The Buick starts right up and it purrs nicely. He also said the transmission was rebuilt when the engine was. He said the 81,000 miles is original miles. I have a replacement driver's fender and a replacement hood that is also included with the Buick. Along with a new convertible top.It has power window and locks. I believe this was a top of the line BucikElectra 225 Convertible in its day.

The Buick needs total and full restore. The seats are rotted but the seat springs feel solid. Driver's floor pan is rotted and has a hole. The passenger and rear floor pans are stillgood. The convertible top it rotted but there is a NEW convertible topthat comes with the car. All glass is in tact and good condition.

He said the gas tank was rotted so hehooked up a gas can to the fuel line andthe car fires rightup and runs with noticks or knocks. RUNS super. Thecar has no brakes at all as the pedalgoes to the floor.Again the car needs full restore but its ORIGINAL and its a RARE BUICK ELECTRA 225 Convertible.

Thevin tag and body tag are in tact and in place. The frame looks good. The dash alsoappears fully in tact and nice shape except for dust and dirt. There is rustas you can seearoundthe car. Some dents on the front of the hood and some around the car.
