This is a beautiful example of an original 1955 Buick Century Special that has 32. 00 original mileage. Unlike many other Buick Century Specials. this is an original survivor that has only been mechanically freshened up to allow for this beautiful car to be driven and enjoyed on long and short trips. The paint is the original black in excellent 8 of 10. There is no rust. bubbling. worn spots or chips throughout the body except for one small chip 1/8" on the lower drive side front fender. There is no rot either on the floor trunk area. The chrome is in great condition with no scuffs. dents. peeling or pitting. Even the side trim is in excellent shape. The weather strip is in great shape but for its shape and age. it has areas where the weather strip like glass scrapers are brittle. Windshield or back glass do not leak nor show any sign of such in the past. The trunk space is also very clean and includes the tools provided when new. I believe the spare tire is original as well. The drivetrain is in overall great condition. This Century sports the original "Fireball" V-eight. Although original the engine has been detailed and brought back to top performance. Minor items like fuel lines. hoses and gaskets have been replaced when engine was detailed. The vehicle purrs like a kitten and drives excellent. The automatic transmission shifts properly including down shifts under acceleration. No whines or odd noises. The suspension is also original and in excellent condition. The Buick drives straight with no odd squeaks or noises. Brakes are in perfect working order. They too were adjusted and pads replaced when freshened up. New tires were installed to provide a worry free driving experience. The electrical is original and in great condition with all electronics working except the clock. which works intermittently. All other lighting. gauges and switch work perfectly. There are no signs of splices. frayed or damaged wiring. The most appealing aspect of this car is the condition of the interior. You seldom see interior in this shape as it compliments and is representative of a vehicle that has only been driven 32. 00 miles. All door panels are clean and straight with no sign of wear or humidity damage (no curling). Front seat is as goo of condition as the rear with no tears. wears or sign of damage. All the trim interior trim has been cleaned and show no sign of wear. Overall. this vehicle is a perfect condition and ready to be enjoyed by the new owner.
