Description for Buick Skylark 1967
This is a true GS400 Convertible; and one of only 422 produced in 1967 with a 4-speed manual transmission. Fully restored (Body-on) in 2011 and driven sparingly since. Options include power steering, power brakes, 4-speed shifter console with Tachometer & Rallye wheels.Buick's top of the line muscle car for 1967: Finished in the original Gold Mist color over black interior. The body is straight and rust free as is the floor and undercarriage (see detailed photos). All correct GS400 badging and trim is present and in good condition. Buick Rallye wheels are also in great shape.
The black convertible top is in excellent condition and the power mechanism works well.
Under the hood you'll see the iconic "star wars" Buick performance air cleaner atop a correct 400ci engine (Freshly rebuilt 1968 casting). Conservatively rated at 340 horsepower and 440 ft. lbs. torque. An upgraded ignition system adds power and reliability. The M20 4-speed transmission is original to the car; this is proven by the casting numbers and matching partial VIN stamped on the case. The rear axle is also original; numbers matching with posi-traction.
This car's originality is shown by decoding the trim tag; which proves it is a GS400, 4-speed convertible. The VIN tag is undisturbed and held on with its original rosette rivets. A copy of the original CT title is also included.
This car starts easily with no smoke and runs great with that classic muscle car sound. All mechanical systems were rebuilt during the restoration and the car drives like a new 1967 Buick should. Steering is tight and brakes stop straight with no issues.
The original "T-Handle" shifter and linkage are included with the sale.
Why blend in with the crowd in your Chevelle or GTO when you can own a rare big block, 4-speed convertible for under $40k!
