THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL AND VERY ORIGINAL 1970 BUICK RIVIERA WITH THE ORIGINAL 455/370HP ENGINE. THIS CAR SPENT IT'S ENTIRE LIFE LESS THAN TEN MILES FROM THE DEALERSHIP IT WAS ORIGINALLY PURCHASED FROM NEW IN WALLACE IDAHO. THE ORIGINAL OWNER WAS AN ELDERLY WOMAN, SHE SOLD THE CAR IN 1979 TO A NEIGHBORHOOD BOY THAT WAS A SENIOR IN HIGH SCHOOL AT THE TIME. THAT YOUNG MAN KEPT THE CAR FOR 41 YEARS. HE WAS SO PROTECTIVE OF THE CAR THAT WHEN HE HAD HIS OWN FAMILY IN THE LATE 1980'S HE PARKED AND STORED THE CAR SO THAT HIS KIDS WOULDN'T RUIN IT. THE CAR WAS LAST REGISTERED IN 1989 AND STILL HAS THE 1989 STICKER ON THE PLATES AND THE VEHICLE REGISTRATION ABOVE THE SUN VISOR. THE CAR WAS RUN PERIODICALLY AND DRIVEN AROUND THE BLOCK OVER THE YEARS AND STORED IN DOORS WITH A CAR COVER ON IT. IT WAS PAINTED ONCE IN THE LATE 1970'S OR EARLY 1980'S, A GOOD DRIVER QUALITY PAINT JOB THAT STILL LOOKS EXTREMELY GOOD TODAY. THE BODY AND UNDER CARRIAGE ARE 100% RUST FREE. THE BODY HAS ONLY A FEW MINOR DINGS AND PAINT CHIPS. THE INTERIOR IS 100% ORIGINAL AND IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH ONLY SOME MINOR WEAR ON THE EDGE OF THE DRIVERS SEAT. THE VINYL TOP IS IN EXTREMELY GOOD CONDITION AND HAS NO RUST OR BUBBLING UNDERNEATH ANYWHERE. THE CAR IS NEARLY FULLY LOADED HAVING FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING ( STILL WORKING WITH ORIGINAL R-12), POWER WINDOWS, POWER SEATS, TILT WHEEL, WALNUT LOOK SPORT STEERING WHEEL, POWER TRUNK RELEASE, BUICK ROAD WHEELS, AM.FM RADIO (STILL WORKING), FACTORY 8-TRACK TAPE PLAYER WITH FOUR SPEAKER SYSTEM WHICH IS ALSO STILL WORKING! EVERY BULB AND EVERY COMPONENT IS STILL WORKING WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE CLOCK. ALL ELECTRIC WINDOWS AND MOTORS ARE WORKING HOWEVER THE DRIVERS WINDOW LIFTING MECHANISM HAS COME LOOSE FROM THE MOTOR. ( YOU CAN HEAR THE MOTOR BUT THE WINDOW IS NOT MOVING) IT COMES WITH THE ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUAL AND THE CAR ALSO STILL RETAINS THREE OF IT'S ORIGINAL T-3 HEADLIGHTS. IN THE TRUNK IS ONE OF THE ORIGINAL 1970 TIRES IN EXCELLENT CONDITION MOUNTED TO AN EXTREMELY NICE BUICK ROAD WHEEL. THE JACK LOOKS LIKE IT WAS USED ONE TIME. THE FELT TRUNK LINING MATERIAL IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AND HAS THE ORIGINAL BUICK FACTORY TRUNK MAT STILL INTACT. THE CAR RUNS, STOPS, DRIVES AND SHIFTS BEAUTIFULLY. I HAVE RECENTLY CHANGED THE OIL AND FILTER, REPLACED THE RADIATOR COOLANT, UPPER AND LOWER RADIATOR HOSES, INSTALLED A BRAND NEW BATTERY, REPLACED BOTH FRONT WHEEL BRAKE CYLINDERS, REPLACED THE FUEL SENDING UNIT WITH A VERY RARE AND EXPENSIVE REBUILT 1970 RIVIERA UNIT AND REPLACED THE ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP. THIS CAR IS READY TO SHOW AND DRIVE. FOR ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE CALL 208-640-3246
