Description for Buick Other 1919
Submitted for your consideration is this exceedingly rare 1919 Buick High-roof Sedan. This is solid western car having originated out of Arizona (title copy in posession) and is among a very select few still in existence today.
This sale is the product of an estate whereby its original owner purchased this years ago for itssolid condition at Auction in 1999 having done nothing more than to remove/clean/seal the fuel tank in his ownership. The car is in exceptionally good/solid unaltered condition considering it's almost 100 years old.
Vehicle was last run/driven by its owner 3 years ago and was stored in a secure climate-controlled privately owned commercial officebuilding and must now be moved. Motor is free. The heirs were uncertain as to how to start it so its remained in storage until now but everything seems to confirm vehicle does/did run. If not sold by the first of the New Year, the price will go up when marketed elsewhere. (Priced to sell). A file of all pertinent paperwork, receipts, past registration documents and insurance cards etc. is included (pretty neat to sift thru). Mileage is true for this vintage.
The tires are "low" in the photos, but this is only to let the air out to allow it to fit into the tight constraints of this commercial building space.
An exhaustive internet search was done and the last known similar example was a 1918 that appeared in a Youtube video in 1999!
This car is driver quality #3 condition. The car was repainted PRIOR to the current owner and done well. Paint should detail very nicely. Wood spoked wheels are in great shape. A few misc. tools are included. Underside is solid and does not exhibit any leaks (see photos). On close examination, the only damage anywhere is minor. This includes the front upper windshield is cracked ($75.00 flat glass). Flat-glass is very inexpensive to replace. The left rear fender has a minor dent (probably for it's tight warehouse storage location). My sense is $200.00 or less should easily remedy this repair.
Interior, headliner, seat covers & door cards are in amazing stock-appearing all-original shape considering its age. Even the quarter windows still have a pull-down shades intact, and green-glass vases on the inside pillar(s). All woodgrain around windows is in good shape.
Roof/Top is near-mint which is very rare for these (see photos).
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the undersigned.
Reasonable offers are considered (key word "reasonable").Please excuse the so-so picture angles as the tight constraints of this location made it hard to get good photos. My sense is this is a museum piece that can be driven. Detailing should really take this over the top as its been sitting in a commercial space. Additional photos available on request.
Vehicle is available for inspection with advance notice.
Please Note this will NOT fit in a private-type enclosed trailer unless you opt for a commercial hauler. Rollback or open trailer suggested.
Respectfully,****I DO NOT NEED ANY HELP SELLING THIS CAR**** (Sorry, but unique cars like this always garner the buzzards who want to promise the world and charge an unrealistic sellers fee).
