1969 Buick Wildcat Convertible for Sale
Beautifully restored, Buick Wildcat Convertible. One of only 2374 produced in 1969! Local Houston, Texas car that has been in the same family and was totally restored approximately8years ago. All correct, matching #'s, paint, and interior colors etc. when redone. Odometer reading states 88,895 miles, but only has approximately 600 undocumented miles since being rebuilt.
Beverly Hills Motors of Houston oversaw the complete rebuild of this immaculate automobile. Engine, transmission, suspension and running gear was removed and has been completely gone through and rebuilt. The Buick Wildcat features factory power steering, brakes, A/C, electric antenna, factory Buick Steel mag wheels with whitewall tires and remote adjustable driver's side mirror. The factory air conditioning system has been completely rebuilt with the original compressor being refurbished along with a new A/C condenser and expansion valve. The factory AM/FM radio has been professionally converted in order to utilize your personal iPod. All chrome was redone and triple plated. All new rubber seals throughout the build were replaced and all stainless trim was removed and polished. Engine is original matching number, 360-HP, 430 cid with 4bbl carb. Engine was completely disassembled, hot tanked, cleaned and honed. Engine has new rings, all bearings, cam, lifters, pushrods, oil pump, timing set, as the original heads were refurbished. Transmission is the factory Super Turbine 400 and was gone through and fully serviced with new filter, seals, etc. Engine bay and underneath the body was cleaned and repainted. Body was removed and new rubber body mounts were installed, and no rust was detected. All of the suspension was gone thru and replaced as needed and brakes were redone with new brake shoes, brake lines, wheel cylinders and fresh fluid. Trunk compartment is excellent with factory spare and jack. Since the refurbishment, the gas tank gauge has stopped working.
The meticulously redone interior and new top were installed by Cyfair Upholstery in Houston as well. Factory Antique Gold exterior paint was applied by Cruz Motors Body Shop in Houston. There is blemish on the body where owner slightly brushed the fender pulling into a garage and some bubbling of the paint is occurring.
The car comes with documentation, factory owner's books, and Protecto- plate. Also have the majority of the receipts for restoration work done on the Buick. Overall, a very nicely restored car that runs and drives like new in 1969. Drop the top on a sunny day and take all the family for a fun day of cruising!
UPDATE:
1. I have replaced the fuel sending unit so the fuel gauge now works. The fuel tank was dropped and cleaned thoroughly.
2. The AC is an R12 system and needs a recharge.
3. Installed an electric fuel pump for easier starting.
4. Even though the exterior had been professionally painted, there are blemishes that will need to be addressed. I will send more photos upon request. This is a beautiful car for being almost 50 years old but it is NOT perfect and not a "show car."
