Description for Buick Electra 1961

Up for sale is our 1961 Buick Electra 225 Convertible. This is a rare car and ready to be enjoyed by the next collector. I am downsizing my collection since I am moving to Florida in September. This is my third Electra 225 Convertible and by far my favorite. It gets attention wherever I drive it! Prepare to be the talk of the town.

This beautiful Electra is finished in red exterior with red interior and white convertible top. This car has the powerful 401 Nailhead V8 with 325 hp and 403 ft/lbs of torque. It has every option available at the time except air conditioning (who needs it, it is a convertible).
The car had a frame on restoration 11 years ago and it still shows well. Paint has a beautiful shine and chrome is in great shape. There are a few scratches/nicks that do not detract from its beauty. The car also had the engine and transmission rebuilt at that time. It runs fantastic and is ready for the local cruise nights or car shows. It has been garage kept and detailed religiously.
The Electra starts up every time and shifts beautifully. The engine is smooth without any ticks or noises. The exhaust system is newer and is quiet. The suspension is smooth and without creaks or harshness.
The interior is in great shape and shows very well for a 56 year old car! It has no cuts in the leather. The dash is clean and shows no cracks. Leather is still soft and seat springs are firm.
The convertible top is 1 month old and works well. The power windows all work.
I have two sets of keys and the original books and Buick advertisement.
The original floormats are included.
The tires have 90% tread left and brakes are in good shape.
These cars are going up in value and I am selling mine with No Reserve and starting bid of $18,000. It is between a 2 and 3 on the Hagerty condition scale.
