1951 Buick Special Deluxe finished in Victoria Maroon with Black/Creme interior. Odometer shows 55,180 miles. a 263c.i. Buick Fireball Inline 8 with a Stromberg 2bbl carburetor producing 128hp/218lb-ft of torque backed by a DynaFlow 2-speed automatic transmission. The Buick Special was the last model in the lineup to receive a new full-width body in mid-1949 as a 1950 model. The 1950 model featured some new designs that had the like of three "venti-ports" on the hood sides and "Special" script on the front fenders. 1951 rolled around and the only major change in the body was the grille going from a "snaggle-tooth" look to the more conventional "waterfall" design. The "venti-ports" and "Special" script remained.Features in this Buick Special consist of; Sonomatic AM radio with antenna, standard accessories group (analog clock, wheel covers, trunk light, license plate frame), "Weather Warden" venti-heater and defroster, turn signals, backup lights, white wall tires, independent front suspension, 14" wheels, new 6-volt charging and starting system, new carpets, recently serviced engine, resealed transmission, resealed differential, rebuilt fuel system, rebuilt brakes, and repainted in 2016. There is one known owner of this car before 2015, from Leoti, Kansas, when it was sold. Available records and reproduction owner's manual.Part of a collection of 20 cars located and purchased to go in a museum honoring the founder of a family business who owned and drove these same cars. Recent circumstances changed the completion of the museum and all twenty automobiles were commissioned to be sold.
