Description for Buick Special 1954

This car comes with documentation attached to it that shows the last service on 8-3-1972 was done and she had 13788 miles at that time. She was put in storage in 1974 with less than 17000 miles on the odometer . I purchased her with 16000 plus miles in 2019. She run, drives and stops like the low mile car she is.
She is a great driving 1954 Buick Special 4 door sedan with the original 264 V-8 engine and 3 speed standard transmission. Options are an AM radio, side view mirrors and turn signals which were not required until 1956! The interior looks nearly new except for the driver's seat which needs some new fabric. Headliner, door panels and floor coverings are all near perfect. Rear seat and trunk appear to have never been used.
She was stored away in a rodent proof building from 1974 till 2014. The second owner bought her and got her running, then put new valve lifters in the 264, new brakes, new exhaust, new radial tires and an amateur repaint. She runs great but the original clutch plate is getting thin and she is now being upgraded with a new clutch kit, rear main engine seal and a new oil pan gasket. All of the above is included in the price.
Originally a tu-tone light green body with a dark green top, she now has a tri-tone paint scheme with antique white top, grey body and coral color along the lower body. She could be a SHOW CAR if new owner would have a professional shop strip and repaint her possibly in the original paint scheme and have the chrome redone. The stainless trim is nearly perfect because it does not of course peal or rust!
As she sits now, one could drive her for 20 or 30 years and do nothing but routine lube, oil, filter and tires.
Good luck and God bless, AL 319-296-3066 Call me with any questions or if you have an offer.
This is a fixed price sale with profit going to CHARIT, Thank You
I can add pictures of whatever you would like to see on the car if you let me know.. Have video of her engine running and car driving. Message me for link.
