1987 Buick Grand National, this vehicle was meticulously restored with every effort being made for a historically correct restoration. This was a challenging projects as the car has low miles and has only been titled twice. For this reason more effort was required to save and work around the original parts of the vehicle that have been preserved. This included many parts, inspection marks and tags from the assembly line.HIGHLIGHTS
- Richard Clarke rebuilt motor (https://www.facebook.com/RichardClarksGarage) with warranty for normal driving upon request
- New injectors and chip were installed, the original injectors and chip will come along with the vehicle
- Refurbished intake manifold with all NOS or refurbished parts, NOS parts include fuel rail, vacuum lines, pcv valve and hose, fuel regulator, plenum, IAC control, EGR control, and coolant lines
- Rebuilt factory radiator
- Original exhaust headers with high heat ceramic coating
- New limit engineering turbocharger (1 year warranty upon request) with new actuator and rare NOS turbo vacuum lines
- Correct new AC Delco battery
- New motor mounts
- Completely refurbished wiring harness using all factory correct connectors
- Back to bare metal bodywork and paint
- Frame-off restored
- New suspension with new body bushings including GNX upgrade
- Radiator support, and inner fenders are powder coated for long life
- NOS tail lens, marker and parking lights
- NOS emblems
- Original like new factory Grand Nation rims with NOS center caps and lug nuts
- Brand new Goodyear Eagle GT P215/65/R15 tires produced from original Goodyear mold
- Power windows
- Power door locks
- Tilt wheel
- A/C new, air conditioning compressor installed (original compressor comes with car)
- Cruise control
- Original 5 band equalizer stereo with cassette player, and concert sound speaker system
- Power antenna
- Dual remote mirrors

- Vehicle also comes with original owner's manual, and vehicle warranty book as well as maintenance book, AC Delco radio instruction book, original 1987 sales brochures and a copy of the original dealer invoice
- The body was lifted off the vehicle, the frame was stripped and painted with a two part Eastwood chassis paint which adds strength
- While body was off, belly was stripped and painted with the same Eastwood chassis paint as the frame was, and all heat shields were refurbished
- Every effort was made to replace all of the factory markings on the driveshaft, differential, control arms, etc.
- All fuel and brake lines are new or in like new condition
- New powder coated front and rear springs
- New front and rear shocks
- New front upper control arms with new bushings and ball joints
- Refurbished front lower control arms with new bushings and ball joints
- Upper and lower rear control arms also refurbished with all bushings being replaced
- Rear axle completely serviced
- Transmission and torque converter completely serviced
- New brakes, new calipers, rotor, pads, drums, and shoes
- Richard Clarke completely rebuilt power master brake system with lifetime warranty
- New fixture checked stock replacement exhaust system for the orginal look and authentic sinister turbo Buick sound
- No time or expense was spared
- With glass and interior removed, the body was hand stripped to bare metal
- Hood, header, bumpers, fillers, fenders, doors, and trunk lid were all removed
- The car was rust free, there was no rot, no metal work or metal patching needed or done on this car
- The entire car and all parts were extensively prepped until the metal and all body components were perfect
- The ugly factory chip guard was removed which will make this car standout from any other survivor car
- All body work was done until all components and parts were perfect, and checked for fitment
- The car was then primed, and blocked, sanded and primed again before final block sanding
- The car was then treated with a base coat clear coat paint to a mirror like show car finish which can be easily color matched by the paint manufacturers color cod that will be supplied for easy future repair if ever needed
- Hundreds of hours went in the bodywork alone for a mirror, show quality paint job
- This is perhaps the hardest part of a Grand National to restore as very little NOS interior parts exist
- All the seats have new foam for a better than factory feel, the seats and the door cards have be reupholstered with the same rare NOS date coded gray and black palex material
- Head liner has been completely refurbished with color matched material
- Original carpet
- Dynamat installed for extra quiet interior
- Upper center console fully restored and a brand new lower center console makes for a perfect factory correct look
- Window motor booster kit
- Fully restored steering wheel
- New or authentic reproduction interior parts include, door escutcheons, new signal stalk, new horn ring, window and door lock switches, speakers, and speaker covers, dash bezel and a completely rebuilt speedometer/dash cluster
