Description for Buick LeSabre 1989
1989 Black Buick LeSabre T-Type Leather interior 100k Columbus, Ohio. I've owned fifteen Buick LeSabres over 30 years, and I have two others, so this one is in need of good home. I am not desperate to sell, so no tire kickers, please. So the good. I'm the second owner and the car runs solid and straight. No weird noises or rattles. Cold AC. I just spent $1,000 replacing brakes and brake lines. Leather seats are good but worn (but not torn). Headliner was replaced a few years back and does not sag. Rust free A pillars and door sills Door panels are in great shape. Dash is not cracked or warped. Black tinted windows are perfect with no bubbles at all. Paint has held up well for thirty years old. I bought the car five years ago from retired first owner engineer in Chicago. It had 65k on it then and I've put on the last 35k with full maintenance and no major repairs, although I have replace the window regulators in the last couple of years. I removed the T-Type B pillar badge and the rear quarter LeSabre badges but I have them available to be reinstalled if someone wants. Car has snow tires mounted on American Racing rims that rub on severe turns but otherwise not an issue unless you load down the trunk. The bad. Cosmetically there are a few scratches. Front passenger bumper corner was scraped down to the metal. The step kid put a wave in the rear quarter under the back window (when they cut too close a turn into the garage door frame). The dent was professionally repaired but can be seen at the right angle. The drivers door speaker doesn't work. There are a couple of developing rust spots, one in front of the drivers rear tire and the other in front of the passengers rear tire. There is missing front "tooth" in the grill. The temp/radio bezel is warped and needs replaced. I did pull a faux woodgrain one from the junkyard, so that could be painted silver to match. There might be a small leak in the trunk because occasionally the drivers rear side is damp. The only thing I would encourage any buyer would be refreshen the motor with wires, plugs, fuel filter and lines, etc. There is a small oil leak which is fairly typical but all other fluids are good. Nothing coming out of the tail pipe and the car still gets 20 mpg. Like I said before this car is in pretty good shape and I would keep it but I'm already two BLTs deep. . I would not hesitate to drive this car cross country. . The car is located in Columbus, Ohio, so in person inspection can be arranged just send me a message.
