Description for Buick Skylark 1972

1972 Buick Skylark Custom 2dr hardtop. 350 2bbl A/C P/S P/ Disc Brakes. The interior is very nice with no rips on the seats just one small cigarette burn on the driver side lower section. No cracks in the dash pad. This is a very solid car. It does have some rot in the rear quarter panels and a little around the rear window which is common for these cars but the rest of the car is extremely solid. The driver side rear quarter panel is the worst part of the car. I have had body guys look at it and they say that they would not replace it they would patch it. I will also include a patch panel that I purchased off of ebay for the driver side rear quarter. It is a partial panel that someone removed from another car. They cut the pot welds and cut it off the car. Doors floors frame rocker panels are all very solid with no rot or bondo. The only area that I think might be any filler at all is the lower drop down of the passenger side fender. The only reason that I would assume that there is filler in that area is that I had the entire nose off of this car. I saw when I had the passenger fender off that a patch was welded in on the lower section of the fender. Whoever welded the patch in did a very nice job you can't notice that it was patched at all on the outside of the fender. But they must have used at least a little filler just to finish it off. But very minimal. But that is it there is no other bondo at all anywhere on this car. What you see is what you get. Nothing hidden on this car what so ever. When I had the nose off the car I changed the timing cover gaskets the water pump the fuel pump and valve cover gaskets. then I cleaned and detailed the engine and the engine compartment. There is a new A/C compressor and all A/C parts are there but it does need to be charged so it is not operational at this time. The engine runs very strong and has 37 pounds of oil pressure at idle but it does need to be fine tuned. It has a little hesitation upon staring from a stop. After you are moving it runs very smooth. It may need the carburetor rebuilt or maybe points or just an adjustment. I will include a used HEI distributor an ignition wires with the car. I had a patch panel professionally welded in on the passenger side of the radiator support and replaced the passenger side fender well with a perfect used fender well from another car. I painted the underside of the car with rust preventive paint. This is a very solid car. The only reason that I am selling it is that I recently bought another 72 skylark with solid quarter panels and I have no need to have two 72 skylarks. I was starting to do things to clone the car into a GS that is why there are GS emblems on the fenders. I have all of the moldings and trim parts for this car that are not on it right now. I probably have extra. This car originally had a white halo top on it and I have the top moldings. No rot on the roof or around the front windshield at all. NO RESERVE. THE STARTING PRICE IS THE RESERVE. For the starting bid it comes with the GS hood and the GS steering wheel. If the winning bidder does not want or need the GS hood I will take $900 off of the winning bid and I will replace it with a perfect stock flat hood from my yellow skylark. You will have to paint it to match. The car needs to be painted anyway so it shouldn't matter also if the winning bidder doesn't want or need the GS steering wheel I will take $200 off of the winning bid and replace it with a nice stock skylark steering wheel. Also if the winning bidder doesn't want or need the radiator support or passenger fender well I would lower the winning bid by $600 because I could use them for my other skylark. I know that there is something that I have left out and I have many other pictures of the car. So if you have any questions or if you want any other pictures please contact me and I will get back to you a. s. a. p. This car really is deserving of a restoration. Very solid. If you have been looking at what others are trying to sell 9then you will appreciate just how solid this car is. Thanks for looking
