This garage find is one of only 2. 61 1971 Buick Centurion convertibles produced. The odometer shows 37. 00 original miles. It also has about 75% of its original paint. All exterior trim moldings. and emblems are present. Not sure why. but only the right side was re-sprayed. It was rustproofed when new. and has the plastic plugs in both rocker panels. The car also comes with its original floor mats. warranty information. Protect-O-Plate. accessories brochure. and an original 1971 Buick full-line sales brochure. Look carefully at the pictures. and you can see how clean and original the car is. There is no rust in the trunk. floor pans. or bottoms of the doors. The car has had the muffler. brake lines. tires and battery replaced and the gas tank flushed out. There is a Pertronix ignition installed under the stock distributor cap. The convertible top mechanism works well. requiring no manual assistance to put it up or down. The original 455 engine and Turbo 400 transmission perform well. The A/C compressor needs to be replaced. but the entire system is all there. The doors shut well with no sagging. The windows are clear with no scratches. There is an aftermarket AM/FM 8-track in the dash. There are no cracks in the door panels or dash pad. I have not tried looking for the build sheet. Out of the 2. 61 built. how many are still left in their original condition with all this accompanying documentation? Enjoy driving it as-is or take it to the next level.
