This is a well cared for rust free early production rust free 48 Roadmaster with 3 speed manual transmission and solid lifters that I have rebuilt over a span of 7 years. Odometer now shows 72k + miles which after inspecting the under carriage and body appears to be accurate.It has an older repaint at which time the color was changed to Burgundy which is straight flat and shows extremely well. Seats and door panels were recovered at that time. Body panels have been aligned for proper gap fit. Front and back bumpers have beenre-chromed. All gauges function. The clock has been rebuilt twice but still fails to operate consistently.This plus the following projects completed has resulted in a road worthy auto that performs as designed and thus is a pleasure to drive and operate . In addition it shows extremely well in points judging. BCA Regional Gold and Silver Awards plus Best in Class at All Buick Show.4000 miles ago the following had been rebuilt or inspected.1) Rebuilt 320 cu in straight eight milled heads Egge pistons and pins. main bearing insets.2) Harmonic balancer3) Carburetor4) Starter5) Generator6) Fuel Pump7) Gas tank cleaned and coated by Renu Co.8) Shift and clutch linkage8) Transmission inspected and resealed10) Throw out bearing11) Brake shoes master cylinder wheel cylinders wheel bearings rear12) Original 4:10 differential (500 rpm per 10 mph) replaced with 3:42 (400 rpm per 10 mph).13) Wiper motor NOS chrome wiper transmissions14) Engine radiator defroster radiator under seat radiator cleaned pressure tested and repainted15) Front end with new king pins.16) Lever action shocks.17) Backup lightsre-chromed.18) Stainless door handles and NOS chrome escutcheon.Tires: 4 new Goodyear wide white radialsElectrical1) Rewired with 6 volt reproduction harness.2) Pertronix ignition with Pertronix coil. Push button to start under dash left side.3) Halogen ------ headlights tail lights brake lights rear turn signals4) Radio ------- capacitors resistors transistor vibrator speaker antenna. circuit trimmed to maximum reception at extended length of antennaInterior1) New carpet plus padding2) New headliner plus reflective heat barrier and wind lace3) Reproduction package tray4) Dash and door metal trim repainted.Glass1) Side windows replaced along with reproduction channels and felt.2) 3 vent windows replaced.
