PLEASE READ ALL DETAILS. This auction is for my 1981 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz. it has been not driven in 12 years and has been in the garage and covered . It is not running due to the lengthy storage and is being sold as a very easy restoration project or parts car. I have owned this car since 1995 and the car underwent over $12. 000 in professional paint work back in the late 1990's including all new chrome. headliner and Leather roof. It was professionally stripped and painted in a high resolution base coat clear coat polyurethane. nbsp;this car has all options available in 1981 but was ordered without the moonroof. it has the stainless steel half roof and the factory Kelsey Hayes turbine alloy wheels. This car never even in the rain since all the work was done. It is gorgeous Light Briar brown on top and dark briar brown on the bottom. We used it as a Sunday driver and on occasion would take it to the Jersey shore which was around 200 miles round trip. and it performed well and really loved the highway. This has the original V4-6-8 6. 0 liter 368 cid cast iron engine. this was a one year only option. All new chrome was factory Cadillac including the Biarritz side moldings . The bumpers were rechromed in show chrome. I even bought the factory Cadillac gold plated hood ornament as seen in the pictures. known defects are fuel leak in the rear lines near the tank which developed after about 2 of sitting I noticed a fuel smell and saw fuel dripping on the floor. New stainless steel lines are available though classictube. com and inlinetube. com). nbsp;Also from sitting the transmission pan gasket is seeping ( old cork style gasket) there may be other unknown issues from the lengthy storage. The rear bumper fillers are starting to shrink and crack. I have a new factory Cadillac center rear filler that goes with the car. The interior is very good with the exception of a small split it the drivers arm rest and some wear and a small 1/4 split on the drivers seat upper pillow as seen in the pictures. This car can not be driven-so figure on towing or shipping when bidding. This is truly a stunning vehicle that needs some attention from sitting so long.
