Description for Cadillac Eldorado 1989

Clear Title in hand, nd Buyer will Receive a Bill Of Sale as well. This is a 1989 Cadillac Eldorado that needs some minor work to make it into a good driver car. It is running and driving now. I averaged 20-24 mpg driving this car. Otherwise it has a good body, ith two small dents and a couple very light rust streaked areas. There are some minor paint chipped areas visible in my photos. The interior is not bad except for the worn center armrest, nd the headliner is loose and held up by several wood dowels. The dash is all in good shape. The engine and transmission run perfectly.
The car runs and drives excellent, owever it was removed from 12 years of storage in June and had developed a brake line leak, nd a small leak in a fuel line after I bought it. Both leaks have been professionally repaired at a local garage and a new master cylinder was installed. The bill for all this was over $450.
Other repairs the car needs is a new headliner, nd the air assist struts in the rear leak. The automatic compressor that inflates them does work, ut is disabled (The fuse to it is pulled out) due to the leaks (it runs all the time otherwise). The car still drives good though, s the air assist only comes on when you load the car heavily. Included in the sale is a new set of the exact air assist struts for this car.
The information center shows the a/c shut down due to low refrigerant. Due to the long time this car was stored the A/C Compressor leaks coolant through the internal seals and needs to be replaced. A brand new exact fit A/C Compressor is included in the sale, long with a recharge kit. I had intentions of replacing this and the air assist struts, ut my health just will not allow me to do so. Just these parts alone cost over $400.
The cruise control and the automatic vacuum release on the parking brake do not work. I suspect the are on the same vacuum line and it is leaking or disconnected, ut I have not been able to find a leak. There is a manual release for the parking brake that works excellent.
The car is just beyond my ability as a project car as my health is not that good. So I have decided to sell it.
Engine and transmission run excellent. Car drives great.
Tires on front are excellent, 5% tread left. Rear are about 40% Left. All tires are matching.
Alloy Wheels and Center Caps are in Good Condition.
All Glass is good.
All other power items work, ncluding the power antenna.
The Carriage top is in good condition with one spot of what appears to be paint on the back near the rear window.
The exhaust is quiet and appears to be in good condition.
All lights work.
There is some rust on a few areas underneath the car, ut no rust through.
The car books for around $3000-4000 if you were to do the remaining repairs. Below is the NADA book value on this car as of today, /3/2015. Source is www.nada.com.

This is a good project car for someone willing to put in the time, nd who can. Or at the least it would make a good parts car, owever it's pretty nice to use it for just parts. It is a driveable car right now. It just needs someone to put the new parts on it if you want the A/C and the auto level system to work.
Car is in Underhill, ermont 05489, ear Burlington. Buyer must pay the initial deposit of $250.00 on winning the auction. If you win by auction, inner must pay full amount within 7 days. Buy-it-now requires full payment at time of buying. You must pick up the car within 14 days, o exceptions. This car can be driven away! You may have seen this car listed a few weeks ago at a lower starting bid. I had no bidders, nd I'm sure no one bid because the car was not safe to drive any long distance at that time. But at that time I had not spent over $400 to have the brake line and fuel leak repaired. Thus the starting bid is now $900, here is no reserve. The car is no question worth the buy it now of $1500. Between the price I paid for this car, he repairs and the new parts being sold with it, am loosing a lot of money at that price. It's better in person than the photos show. It just needs someone with the ability to put the parts on to buy it, nd they will have a good driving car with working A/C and auto leveling as well.
Keep in mind this is a 26 year old car, nd sold AS-IS where is. I have only driven it 200 miles before I realized my health is not good enough to be repairing the other items on the car such as the headliner, /C and auto leveling. I do not have a lot of experience with this car to know for sure it could make a very long trip trouble free. I drove it home from 80 miles away, hat is the longest trip in the car I have taken. But as said before, t's mainly my health and that I can't work on cars easily anymore that is the reason I am selling this car.
