This car was bought new by Ralph Engelstad, wner and founder of the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas. It was kept in the casino collection until sold in October 1999. I have Nevada DMV documentation (title, egistration and inspection receipts) throughout this period showing 51 miles.
From October 1999 - January 2005 I have no history.
In January 2005, dealer in Texas sold it to a fellow in Ohio with 75 miles.
I bought the car from the fellow in Ohio in August 2005 with 79 miles.
It currently has 673 miles. I have driven it a little each year to keep everything lubricated and functioning properly. Over the years, have done the following:
-Replaced all fluids, ilters and fan belts and did a complete tune up in 2005, ept all original wires, lugs, elts.
-Replaced front shocks, ept originals.
-Fuel tank dropped and thoroughly cleaned and new sender unit installed.
-New OEM Radiator.
-New Battery in 2013
This car is very tight and solid and steers straight. Air conditioning blows cold and climate controls function as they should, ll lights and fiber optics work, ll indicators, uzzers, arning lights, ecurity system, -track player w/am/fm stereo work except for rear speakers..... Trumpet horn, wilight sentinel, utside temperature gauge, anity mirror lights, ower windows, ocks and seats all function properly.......The green, ellow, ed economy lights even work........No leaks or drips........All original glass and headlights.......... Convertible top functions properly, ut should be replaced due to a rip and a small 8" bracket in rear window well that has detached from fabric.
The clock does not work, ut is right twice a day.........All original Uniroyal tires along with space saver spare, ut unfortunately they are flat spotted and cause a vibration between 25 and 30 mph ......Rear air suspension pumps up nicely......Small 1/6" circular chip in windshield....... See pictures for condition of bumper filler panels......Air filter intake hose is missing along with heat riser hose, imple fix.......Rubber molding on driver's side A pillar is chewed up and small split on drivers door armrest........Small housing behind rear seat for fiber optics is missing, ut have replacement.....Both rear quarter panels seem to have been resprayed because color is slightly off, ut no signs of accident damage or bondo. The rest of the car appears to be all original paint.......Passenger side bottom chrome rocker panel has a small dent, ut is very hard to see unless you're down on your knees........ Rattle sound from underside when driving over bumps and occasionally some clicking sounds coming from under front seats.
15 minutes away from Mecum Auction Chicago/Schaumburg Oct 8th thru 10th, nd 15 minutes away from O'hare airport, can arrange pick up and return.
Clear title in hand, ar will be released once funds clear my bank. Possibly open to an escrow account with your attorney.
